The public is invited to two March meetings on the future of Folsom Lake, Lake Natoma and the Folsom Powerhouse.
The meetings are part of a public review for the preliminary general plan and resource management plan for the areas.
Topics of discussion are the Mississippi Bar, marina capacity, crime at campgrounds, trails, traffic congestion at major-day use areas, camping and off-road vehicle use. Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma are heavily used by the public because of their close proximity to major metropolitan areas.
The meetings will provide the public with an overview of the plans and an opportunity for comment. They are scheduled for March 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Cavitt Jr. High School, 7200 Fuller Drive, Granite Bay, and March 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Folsom Middle School, 500 Blue Ravine Road, Folsom.
