Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I don't think FLB ever intended their card room (nor bar) to be accessed by kids or be family friendly.... and Strikes has a bar too, except unlike FLB it's right in the middle of the place instead of a separate area like FLB has it setup... IMO, that's better.
Also, just for the record, Strikes does Texas Hold 'Em tournaments - at least in their Elk Grove location, they'll probably be bringing that here to compete with FLB
I thought Glow and Bowl was fun, it's good for families with older kids and for teenagers to have some fun but I don't know how many younger kids should be going to that, its a bit late for them to be out

Every bowling center has a bar/sports bar/ lounge whatever they might call it. The difference between Folsom Lake Bowl Family Fun center and strikes is the family atmosphere at Folsom Lake Bowl. The FLB Sports Bar & Casino is a completely separate business not only through marketing but through the layout of the business. Look at any of the strikes locations and they have the bar located right in the middle of the bowling center. How family oriented is that? Kids can also sit a the bar, still family oriented?
Now let's talk about FLB Sports Bar & Casino. Not only can you not see the Sports Bar or Casino from the bowling center but it's also 21 and over only. So there are no kids allowed and there are no bars located in the family area, that is the difference between the two and is why Lake Bowl Family fun center is truly a Family friendly Bowling Center!

Also, the snack bar people seemed inconvenienced when I wanted to purchase soda AND... the hassle to walk into the bar, stand in line, get bumped and wait a long time for a beer while my family was waiting for me to bowl was horrible.
It is not a family atmosphere.
STRIKES!!!

A buddy of mine got rip roaring drunk at the bar at Strikes a few months ago, nearly hurled on a nearby kid, fortunately he missed.

I have no problem with a bar in the middle Strikes or any other facility. I don't get the concern.

I'm not sure a small town needs 2 bowling alleys...but I might be biased because I live right up Iron Point and don't really want to deal with more traffic
