We went this past Monday, mainly for the buffet but we also did a little gambling. The buffet is sorely lacking in variety and flavor. The offerings on the weekend include seafood, but it's also more expensive then. We won't be going back anytime soon.
We did the same. And, while the variety was okay, it wasn't great. The salad bar was not appealing and had limited choices. It seemed like they were serving a lot of brunch items at 2 pm, so maybe the dinner has more selections. I think it is expensive for what you get, at least when you compare it to the $7.99 buffet at Thunder Valley, which is absolutely great. We played the slots a little on the way out. They were all those new kinds of machines and the ones that were the good old kind had very high odds. So for us it wasn't that fun. We aren't big time gambles, so low payouts with good odds are our speed. We won't go back any time soon either, but I'm sure we will be back eventually. It is nicely done inside and they did take good advantage of their spectacular view. We couldn't help but feel a little bad for the people who lived in what had been a rural setting who now have a view of a 24-7
casino.
I wish Red Hawk good luck. The Shingle Springs Band deserves all the success in the world.
