Amazing work. They did our neighbors house last fall. I was so impressed with the work I had them do ours. They were very careful with masking and protecting our plants. Tim Flood was a pleasure to work with and I was even able to get him to adjust the price a bit. Highly recommend them. If you want to see real life samples of their work I can give you my address. If you feel weird about checking out my house you can always look at my neighbors which is now for sale and vacant.
Great to know! Would love to do a drive by of your house. PM me your address.
Thanks!!!

Any idea on an approximate price to paint a 2500 Square Foot, single story home in Prairie City area?
Ours is 1700 sq ft and we paid $1950; our friend's is about your size, but 2-story and they paid $2500.

Looks like they do interior painting as well. I imagine that if they are excellent with exterior painting, then they would be excellent with interior painting also.

I would think so. I saw they do cabinet resurfacing and asked the crew about it and he said they do it all.

I wanted to make some comments about Trico and decided to search the forum first, finding this old thread.
My house is a little over 2000 sq ft, with wood siding, extensive deck and railings, and being on a hill, one side of the house is pretty tall, probably 25 or so.
I spoke to 4 different painters.
The first is a relative who does high-end homes in the Bay Area. He's good and meticulous and people pay him well. He said he'd get a scaffold and with a helper could do it for $10,000.
My neighbor was planning on getting her home painted too, and she had spoken with Trico, and was told that if both of us got our homes painted, we'd get a discount.
They were at $4600 for house and railings (I'll take care of the deck), using a crew doing a combination of sprayer, roller and brushes.
Next was a one-man-show type of guy, he quoted $6400. I knew he'd do a good job, but was concerned that with one person and a ladder it would take a while, and he was priced higher too.
Lastly was a guy who I felt was trying to up-sell. He mis-identified oak tree stains as mold, talked about using a grinder to scrape down to the wood, using a paint product (Elastomeric) that would last years longer, etc. He promised to email a quote. I mentioned that my neighbor wanted him to stop by for a quote and he said, 'Ok, but if you think you're going to work me down on price because I'd get to deals out of it, it's not gonna happen'.
I thanked him for his time and decided I wasn't going to use his services at any price. He probably sensed it too, and never sent a quote.
So, we decided on Trico, and are so glad we did!
The did a great job of taping off, caulking and patching prior to painting.
They were finished in a couple of days, and at the end of the day the owner came over to walk the property and get paid. We noticed several areas that needed additional paint or clean up.
He said, 'Why don't you hold back $1500 so you're sure we're coming back'
His guys did come back and finish the job and I paid them, then noticed that there were a couple of drips on the front door.
The job foreman said that they had to go to get to another job and were all packed up, but that he'd be back in a few days.
This morning he came knocking on the door, scraped off the drips and finished.
So, my thanks and kudos to Tim Flood and Trico Painting. They did a great job. It looks so good that my neighbor who hasn't said 3 words to us in 12 years came over and talked to my wife about it!
I highly recommend them.

Glad it worked out for you Steve. I hate to say this, but I had a terrible experience with them on the inside of my house just before I moved in. I won't go in to the details, but I will say, there was a major communication issue between Tim and his staff, and despite multiple calls to Tim, and promises to work it out, it never happened. Sounds like they have improved. However, I will never use or recommend this company.

Wow, sorry to hear that. They were great for us, and my neighbor loved them, too. Maybe they've learned some lessons and improved.

Our experience was very similar to Caligirlz. It was 10 years ago, but I still would not recommend them.
