FOLSOM’S FIRST PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

Co-sponsored by the Folsom Arts and Cultural Commission and Folsom Patrons of the Arts, in Conjunction with the Foothill Friday Art Trail

Opportunity:
 Learn photography techniques
 take photos of fabulous Folsom
 Enter Folsom’s First Photography Contest
 View your photos on display as part of the Foothill Friday Art Trail on May 5, 2006 on historic Sutter Street
 Celebrate with us and see if you are a winner!
The details:
 February 4 and March 4 2006
Two series of Photography classes for ages 8-12 and 13 and up will be offered through Folsom Parks and Recreation
 April 1 - 21, 2006
Photography entries accepted. No more than 5 submissions per person at a cost of $5 each. Subject matter: In and around Folsom!
 May 5, 2006
Viewing of ALL photo contest entries, winners named, food, and fun on Sutter Street

So do you have to attend the classes to be able to submit a photo?

The Folsom Focus photo contest is now open for entries!

Entry period is April 1-21, and the entries will be displayed at a reception at City Hall on May 5, from 5:30-8:30pm.

Entries are open to all age groups. Categories include:

Digital Art
Folsom Faces
Folsom Icons
Folsom in Motion
Folsom 150 (An historical perspective)

Winning photo will be displayed on the cover of Folsom ElDorado Style magazine!
