Just wanted to mention that Malabar is open! Husband and I ate there on Saturday and really enjoyed it. It was about 1/4th full (place is huge) and has a great bar area.
The food was pretty good and service was excellent. Then again, with all the empty tables the service should have been excellent.
Will definitely go again. Give it a try!

WHAT? A chain restaurant in Folsom without a 2 hour wait? Oh, I get it. They haven't opened enough locations for the chain crowd to trust them.
Anyway, I know one of the bartenders, Liz, who used to be at Taco Loco and at Mexquite. She is a good bartender with a great attitude, so when she's on duty, customers will be happy.

I could be wrong but other than the Natomas location, I don't think there are any others.
Does that qualify it for a chain?

Probably not. That's why I said, "They haven't opened enough locations for the chain crowd to trust them."
It is my understanding that they do hope to open more.

I think the menu looks interesting, innovative and covers a lot of ground. I saw a lot of things I would like to try throughout the menu. I hope they make it.

Wow! $9.75 for a glass of 7 Deadly Zins, which retails for $12.49 a bottle at Costco?
Marked up much?
There better be a helluva happy hour to pay those prices for cocktails and wine.
