Anyone besides me notice the "blue tarp" on the gym roof at Folsom High.. you know the one that cost us what...? about $75 Mil to complete...
That roof has been a problem since it was built and we've never had that resolved...?
I drove by the school a few times last week and noticed the tarp is still there.. haven't been there in a few days... so I don't know if they fixed it...
Can someone help me here...?
if it ain't fixed... what in the hell is the School District doing about getting it fixed...?
If you buy a stinking single family dwelling that is new, you get a 10 year contractor's warranty on the "bones" and the roof....
What did we get here... ?
Somebody.....Help me... Help me... Help me....!!!!!

Why do they need a tarp, it hasn't rained in months. Maybe to keep the sun out?

Every year, with the first rain, without a fail, there's a leak.

Anybody think about contacting the district?!? That is, unless you're just looking for an argument here. Perhaps it's better to get the answers FIRST and then posting the response here rather than starting an argument. I, too, think the tarp and problems are bizarre but I certainly don't have the answers. If you're so concerned you have the following options:
Matt Washburn, Director of Facilities, mwashbur@fcusd.org
Debbie Bettencourt, Deputy Superintendent/Chief Financial Officer, dbettenc@fcusd.org
You could always go to a board meeting or contact the superintendent and complain but they'll just refer the question to staff. Why not help all of us by being proactive and getting the info first hand.
I'm all for a spirited debate but let's make it an informed debate!

Why should I waste my time...
I'm going to get the run around from them anyway...
It's only been 7 years since the school was pretty much finished... maybe a little less for that building but my boys were the first Juniors and Seniors there to graduate...
so.. I ain't going to know stinking school board meeting anymore... I'm done with that crapola...been there.. done that...
my point is that what ever they are going to say... it's going to be BS... it's a pretty simple thing isn't it...
Why can't we have a completed building...?
Get back to me...

FWIW the roof at Intel bldg FM7 leaks every year and it is the newest bldg there. In fact, you can see evidence of leaks on the ceiling of the 3rd floor and it's a 4 story bldg!!!!!

Here we are labled as an afluent community, and our school district can no longer replace ceiling tiles.
I wonder if Vista will experience the same if we ever get rain again.

Well.. Tess did say she was going to get back to us... I mean she's on the school board and the school board needs to make "staff" answer for this... since they are the ones that run the thing from day to day...
I think there is more to this than meets the eye so to speak...
It's been a problem since the day it opened... and I can't believe they can't fix this thing...
and if they can't why they haven't 'sued" somebody responsible...

It's my understanding that Roeblin Construction built the school. (not sure if spelling is correct)

If you had taken this line by line, it might have made a neat Haiku.
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.
