Amarin is good, but has the WORST Satay.
I wish there was a good steakhouse in town (coming soon, hopefully!)

How about a real sports bar. One with more than 3 TV's showing all sports (except the WNBA of course). Standard food items and beer is all you'd need. That place Mark's by the theaters is borderline and it's way too small.

I've never had it. Their Yum Woo Sen is excellent, tho. Love their Tom Yum soup, too.
Might have to pop up there for lunch today now that I'm talking about it...

2) Next, oh next, if you can, Mandarin soup noodles, just to tease
3) Soup noodles? Japanese ramen, if you please.
4) Anything better than this simple fare? Authentic Italian, on a dare

Chantara in Town Center is fabulous. They seem to have resolved the 'rediculously long wait for your food' issues, as well.
In my book, there is nothing better than basil and curry.
Now I'm hungry!

My wife and I are very good cooks (no exaggeration), so when we go out - we like it to be a night off from having to do all the work ourselves, and we don't mind paying good money for great service and great quality.
I like to dine at places that can cook better then us... its such a let down when spending good money on mediocre food and crappy service, but I really like it when the food and service really wows me and its so good it makes me want to come back and try out more in the future - thats a good restaurant and those are the kind of restaurants we'll continue to go to.
so often people just go out to eat and fill up, but I like to look at dining sometimes as more then that - its going out to experience culinary art at its finest - to me I get that at Bidwell Street Bistro, it'd be nice to have another really high quality restaurant like that in town.

I agree, it would be nice to have a Fresh choice in town,
But my real preference is:
We need a good authentic Korean restaurant
I really dislike having to drive all the way down to Bradshaw & US 50 for my Kimchee fix.

Totally agree with the concept. I'm thinking of SF favorites like Boulevard, Hawthorne Lane, Aqua, Fringale, Silks, Camptom Place.
I think I need to try BSB -- I've been once but can't remember the experience. I'll try it again. I did try Z's Bistro in EDH recently for the first time. Made some comments in another thread (Favorite Places) and will go back again.
BTW, now that I bought some bottles, I'll share the wine that we fell in love with there -- Latcham 2005 Special Reserve Zinfandel. The winery is sold out but you may be able to buy in select wine stores. If you find it, try it. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
