That's right Boys and Girls another new one coming at you !! The name is the Curry Club an Indian Bistro. It is located in the same small location where Sushin' Sushi and The Heart of Europe are located on the opposite end of the Winco parking lot. I spoke to the owner today and he said they plan on opening tomorrow. So for those of you inclined, you now have a new Indian restaurant to check out. You first.... hehe

there is also a new persian restaurant going in over by Peete's. I saw the Kabob sign as I drove by and then later I stopped at the hallal meat store behind KFC and the owner said he was putting it in himself. He said it will be the only persian restaurant in Folsom, which isn't surprising. I'm really looking forward to it! the nice thing is that neither one of these are chains!

Didn't Folsom Coffee used to be Persian (Kabob House)? It was good, but expensive for what you got sad.gif

I stuck my head in the door today and the smell was terrific!! they really did a good job of interior design compared to Jack China House that was there before. Several people were eating and I glanced around for a minute. They are having a kind of grand opening buffet wich looked wonderful for $5.00. I also grabbed a to-go menu and it is filled with many a delicious meal selections. Hell for 5 bucks, I might give it a go... Oh and yes Darth Lefty it is also stated as a bistro ?? I don't know why, but what the heck...

Buffet for $5.00? Eeeeck, wonder where they shop. Or what they are really putting into the dishes. Fit for human consumption?

I would expect they're taking a loss to get people in the door. I'm tempted wink.gif

They need a website, though sad.gif

I would hope so. Because you can barely by a sandwich (Togos, Beach, Pickles, etc) at that price.

I like the philosphy behind Texas BBQ -- don't hide what your serving me underneath a lot of sauce. smile.gif

Afghani. That was Taste of Kabul. I still yearn for their chicken quorma. And they had the best chicken kabobs in town. I didn't think it was expensive, especially not for lunch. Alas, they are gone. This new one is different...Persian, which is more like Irani/Iraqi. Kabobs, basmati rice, green salads, rosewater ice cream, etc. it should be excellent.....

Ah yes, now I recall. I did like that place, but $15 for kabobs seemed high to me.

So everyone bitches about the mosque but bemoans the lack of kabob joints?

Maybe the Mosque should sell Kabobs.

They're putting in an Afghani restaurant in EDH (Town Center).
