This man doesn't have anything better to do than bring on a law suit to a school district in a failing economy. People who make a living suing people should be jailed! His daughter must be really proud when answer the question to "what does your dad do for a living?"

I understand access needs to be provided to the handicapped, but why is a lawsuit necessary? Has the school district been given time to fix the problem? If it's just the matter of a sign that should be an easy fix.
Here's another one to make you angry.
Frequent ADA litigant faces attempt to shut him downSacramento Business Journal - by Kelly Johnson Staff Writer

Frequent disabled-access litigant sues Wells Fargo
A Carmichael attorney who has filed more than 100 disability-access lawsuits since August 2003, mostly against small local stores and restaurants, might face a legal challenge of his own this year -- a lawsuit that would seek to have him declared a "vexatious litigant."
That outcome could prevent the attorney, Scott N. Johnson, from filing any more disability lawsuits without getting a court's permission first.
Robert Lorbeer, a Sacramento attorney who represents a landlord Johnson has sued twice, said he and another attorney intend to sue Johnson in Sacramento.
They hope to replicate an unprecedented federal court decision in March that said separate plaintiff Jarek Molski, 34, of Woodland Hills, was a "vexatious litigant" who had participated in a "pattern of abusive litigation, bordering on extortionate shysterism." Molski has filed more than 400 lawsuits alleging violations of the Americans With Disabilities Act.
The decision by senior U.S. District Judge Edward Rafeedie attracted attention as a rare judicial limit on serial access filers, who sue businesses for infractions of ADA law and typically settle for payments. Rafeedie told the parties in the Molski lawsuit that if they want to file more access lawsuits, they will need court permission first.
Johnson represents himself in most of the lawsuits he files. He is one of Greater Sacramento's most active access litigants. A Sacramento County resident for more than 30 years, Johnson is quadriplegic, uses a service animal and electric wheelchair, and drives a van with hand controls, according to his lawsuits. He did not return calls from the Business Journal seeking his comments for this story.

get out your wallet... because it's your fault for voting in these scum...
I've been a victim of this crap... and all it does it make your insurance costs go up...
Now that you libs have voted in Presidente Obama, who by the way is another stinking lawyer.. you'll just get more of the same....
This guy is a "hater".. he hates his life and wants us to all suffer for it... did you get the point that he won't tell you how much he's made on these stinking lawsuits...?
So be outraged all you want... you are all so fat out there that until you start to starve to death... nothing will ever get done... except you'll snivel on a forum like this...
Go start a business and see how much insurance you have to have.. you might as well call it a "tax"... casue if you don't have it... you are screwed...
But what do I know... I'm just another stinking old white guy who hates minorities, homosexuals and of course now the "disabled"...
Oh Hey..... by the way... you should check it out and see what they now classify as "disabled"...
and..... One more thing....
I just might wind up on Channel 3's "Call 3" because of some stinking disabled b*tch is not satisfied with some work the county is doing on a rental of mine... even though they've put her up in a stinking hotel in Roseville since June... paid her food bill and even rented her an SUV...
Scum bag welfare types... make me sick.. I have no sympathy for... especially when they send me an email demanding I pay her $2,500,000 for her "inconvenience"...
Watch.. she'll find some scum bag lawyer to take that case.. on "contingency" of course...

How well will he sleep at night knowing the school district may have to cough up some money they don't have, just to pay his BS lawsuit? I'm guessing he's a loud mouthed parent that always gripes his child doesn't have a "nice" school to go to.

Sounds like extortion to me. Sort of like saying, "pay me off, or get sued".
But who knows the real truth about the well? Who wishes to unleash the hideous forces it contains? What terrible consequences will follow the search for a legendary treasure hidden at the bottom?

Sounds like the same A hole that ended up closing Basketball Town.
I'd kick him in the arse if he wasn't sitting on it all the time!

I think it is. That was a sad case because the Basketball center followed county rules and code, they still got sued which was so costly it killed the business.

so what...? the scum bag that sued didn't give a "rat's coon-dingy" if he ran a business in the ground...
these ADA lawsuits are a scam...
there were similiar lawsuits that used to occur but were recently stopped because of legislation...
An attorney could sue a business for "unfair business practices"... such as:
*** a mortgage broker if he didn't have the little "fine print" at the bottom of an advertisement showing all the stinking little charges to get to the rate they were pushing...
*** or maybe a used car lot for failure to make some kind of discloure
*** or a beauty shop that did manicures for failure to post some kind of disclosure
AND HERE IS THE GOOD PART....
HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO HAVE AN "AGREIVED" CLIENT TO REPRESENT..... He could do it under some statute that allowed him to do it on behalf of the California State Attorney General's office... can you believe that...?
There were several thousands of these... and they'd all settle of course for $5,000 to $20,000 each... do the math... settle a few of these a month...? and you're doing some serious money....
And people wonder why we have such a low regard for Attorneys....

The legal profession isn't all bad but these ambulance chaser, Darwin challenged (hot coffee, struck by train after bypassing crossing gates) and this ADA clown are the scum that gives the whole lot a bad rep.

It is a shameful narrative on our society today. It started with the ambulance chaser lawyers. Then they graduated to this. Next hot item lawsuit will be ________________________????
I can imagine these $$ hungry lawyer changing scope of practice to whatever the hot and winnable lawsuit of the month is. Disgusting, but a fact of life.

Both cases were about picking up an easy buck rather than redress of actual damage.
(By the way this post comes from someone who was a successful litigation atty. for a number of years. Now I cringe when I hear of suits like these)
