There was a post on here recently that we were closed. We had to close for a week but we are now open again. We do need the support of our community to stay open. Like all other businesses big and small we are struggling to make it in this economy. Sales are way down from a couple years ago, and June was our worst month ever. The Strings in Folsom is locally owned. Many of you know my husband and I. We have lived in Folsom for 15 years, our kids go to school here, we are active in youth sports and my husband has coached baseball and soccer for many years. We have done a lot to support our community with donating our time and money for fundraisers, and have provided food for a reasonable price for many schools, clubs, sports, and scout parties, etc.

We have restructured our schedule and intend to fight to stay open. We have the best employees and they are our extended family. Someone posted about time cards and pay....we do not have time cards. Everything is done per computer and we have paid our employees, and would never take advantage of them in any way.

To our regular customers...we thank you for all of your support the past 8 years. If you haven't tried us, then we would love for you to. We offer great food at reasonable prices. We also have coupons in the mail and plan on putting one on this website soon.

If you have any questions...please call us 983-9556

thank you

Kim and Brian Johnson

Went last night...and although the menu changed they were still able to make my favorite dish. Good as always.

YEAHH!!!!! We'll come by and check out the new menu. We haven't been in about two weeks now, so we must have missed the week you were closed.

We love your restaurant. always comfortable. when we have guests staying from out of town, this is where we go. your staff is always friendly and I just have to say the restaurant has a very wholesome family feeling.

by the way, did you cut the sunflower seeds out of your salads? the last two times we went they were gone and we missed them. if you have to, its fine. rather go without seeds than without strings! smile.gif

we'll be in soon. I like to get one of the veal dishes made with chicken instead. one of my favorites. that and the zesty seafood pasta dish. always good. we also get the bassa.

see you soon and hang in there.

I can vouch for this! Strings has always been VERY supportive of Folsom Middle, for example. The Johnsons are a fabulous family with amazing kids! Let's support Folsom family businesses!

Just read an article about someplace back east that is using locally printed currency to keep money in town. Apparently, this is legal to do. Anyhow, it was very effective for keeping local businesses afloat, and it had a very positive effect on the local economy even though the regional, state and national economy were horrible. Buy Folsom - it really DOES make a difference.

We don't have local currency in Folsom, but we DO have MyFolsom.com to encourage our friends and neighbors to support our local merchants, restaurateurs and professionals. So, go have some Italian tonight!

If I could eat pizza and pasta more often, I'd be there every week myself!

Pari.

Do you carry any gluten free items on your menu? My youngest daughter has Celiac's so we can pretty much only go to gluten free establishments.

My husband and I love Strings! We also love the fact that they regularly have coupons, which make dining out much more affordable.

I wasn't aware they had closed for a week, but so glad to hear they are now open! Folsom couldn't do without Strings and I sure hope they can get through this bad economy, without closing down for good.

We have always had good dining experiences at Strings and hope to have many more. It's the one restaurant we have never had a complaint about, in any way. And I love the way they make salad and bread!!!! yum.gif

I hope they haven't changed that on the new menu.

We do regularly distribute coupons, we had used the Gold Rush magaizne mailer regularly until they were no longer able to publish last month. Look for us in the money mailer currently and coming soon here to My Folsom smile.gif. Also we will accept any discount coupons issued by other Strings. Kim and I appreciate all the support we have received and hope to be able to continue returning to the community we love.

I am glad to see that Strings is open again! I hope to see Folsom patrons support Kim and Brian by eating at their restaurant. Their staff is a great group of young adults and Kim and Brian take good care of them, my son being one of them. The food is tasty and very reasonable and the menu has fantastic classics as well as new tastes. I do love the spicy chili noodles when they have them on the special! Come on Folsom let's keep our establishments going through these tough economical times.
