Politics Has Been Cleaned Out

I'm getting tired of the attacks, the bickering, the complaining. I rid the forums of 2 particular members who I think are contributing to the negativity as well.
This site was created as a means to discuss Folsom. It's not meant for people to complain about the country and what's wrong with it. The discussions got out of hand and drastic means were necessary. I will re-open the Politics forum at some point but in the meantime, let's get back to basics.
Feel free to discuss this decision but this decision will not (and cannot) be reversed. The forum's contents are effectively gone.

Yeah!!! I loved the idea that you moved it off the main board and I never ventured over there.
Life is much nicer without it!!

I'll suggest not reopening that section unless you truly enforce the standards equally for all including moderators. Unfortunately the unequal enforcement and double standard contributed to some of the escalation in that section.
I don't think anyone expects perfection, but there definitley could be better balance.

I understand...but don't agree.

Thanks for leaving the local politics forum open, that's still of interest.

Absolutely agree, it was definitely a free-for-all in there. If it comes back, I hope stricter rules, and methods against escalation are put in place.
I'll miss it, I hate to say it, it was always fun.

I do miss EDF and Vinnie and there are sure some fun things happening that would spark things up.
I always read the political comments for entertainment rather than education

I know a few people are upset about removing the politics section, but try to keep in mind - this site was created to be about and for Folsom, not for world politic soap box pontificating for people to get their anger out against politicians and opposing political parties.
Welcome back to myfolsom.com - a site all about Folsom
