This is now my favorite movie of all time. It WILL gross more then any movie except maybe Titanic. But it will come close.

Its on the scales of when Wizard of Oz showed in color, Star Wars for the first time and Jurassic Park.

The wait was worth it. The most expensive movie of all time and I was in awe almost the entire time!

I agree. Me and my hubby saw it last night and it is one of the best movies I have seen in years. Going back again tomorrow so that my son can see it. We saw it in 3D at the new Folsom Palladio.

I heard someone talking about it that thought the computer graphics were awesome but that the plot/storyline was very weak.

Without giving it all away, what's the basic premise of the story?

I heard someone describe it as Alienn (or maybe Aliens?) crossed with Dances with Wolves (or was it Last of the Mohicans?).

If you watch the trailer, I think you get the basic idea of what its about.

your link requires a "quicktime" download which I am unwilling to do.

I've seen the ads on TV. Sci fi type airborne vehicles, alien looking animals combined with alien humanoids. none of which tells me the plot line of the movie.

If you can't trust "Apple" to make you "software" I wonder how well you get around the "Internet"

I don't think this movie about blue sparkly aliens will beat out The Dark Knight.

The plot and story line is good. I'd ignore nay-sayers who are just trying to sound more intelligent then the rest of the world. Its the whole package that is important and all of them are A's in my opinion.

GFFMatt. I'm a big fan of Dark Knights acting and it's a favorite of all time. But I'm a VFX junkie and have been doing VFX as a hobby for years. This movie blows Dark Knight so out of the water in that department its not even funny. Every single person in the VFX industry WILL tell you that as far as VFX. As far as acting, the emotions they pull from the female lead character is worthy of an Oscar in itself. Question is... who does it go to. The Actress or Animators?

I'm telling you people... this movie is not one you will only see once. I've went to Palladio the last 3 nights in a row and could go tomorrow. I believe its that good.

I'd see it at palladio. Its totally dead there and you don't even need to be but 10 mins early. For the 3D ask for theater 8 and sit about 3 rows from the top in the middle. If your too close the 3D doesn't seem to work as well.

As far as IMAX vs Palladio. It depends what type of 3D projector IMAX has at the EDH location. If they have the IMAX 3D Projection system then its harder on the eyes and not as up to par. If they have the RealD like Palladio then it would be the best place but more expensive and probably busier. RealD is better then IMAX though is my point...

I'd second what JLS said.

Bill Z, don't know if you're familiar with it, but it's kinda like a modern-day, grown-up "Fern Gully" meets "GI Joe" and kicked up a lot of notches. I loved the imagination put into this movie.

Also saw it at Palladio in 3D, third row from the top.

Just wanted to add this movie is 2 hours and 40 minutes. Maybe I'm getting older, but if they are going to make movies any longer than that they need to start adding intermissions like in "Gone With The Wind."

To another poster, yes I saw "Dances with Wolves", multiple times.

No I haven't seen "Fern Gully" or "GI Joe", although I at least remember friends and neighbors having GI Joe action figures (aka dolls), something I never had as a kid.
