OK , went there tonight and tried out carne asada and also shrimp tacos, w/ rice and beans. Reasonable prices, good tacos. Crowded and still unable to do anything other than cash sales. Will go back to try burritos.

We tried it last week too. Got there as they were closing, but they accommodated us and a few other stranglers. They looked like there were exhausted but were very friendly and welcoming. Menu was limited but they are obviously still ramping up - and trying to hire staff. We had the burrito and the tacos. Both were good. I would rather see the burrito come out on a paper plate than wrapped in foil like fast food to go - as we were eating in. Minor annoyance. Look forward to going back.

Will definitely check them out.

Their pork chile verde burrito is excellent. Really great chile/pork flavor, not just pork in a tomatillo sauce like most places do. Messy as heck, but really tasty.

Tried them today. They still seem to be on "soft-open" status. My wife had a shrimp taco and the fish (grouper) taco which are her go-tos when having tacos. She enjoyed the shrimp, but didn't like the fish. They were both cooked with the same ingredients, so I would chalk that one up to her not liking grouper (apparently).
I had a "super" Asada burrito. Flavor was good, but I forgot to order no rice as I don't like rice in a burrito. I only bring that up because the burrito was difficult to eat without spilling rice on my shirt and lap as I couldn't use a plate (it came in a basket). A burrito that size, you almost have to use a plate and fork. Or you are stuck holding it the whole time so the insides don't spill out. They need plates is what I'm saying.
The chips and salsa were only 1.50, so not too pricey. the salsa was good, and left a hint of fire on your tongue. Even the green sauce had a bit of spice to it. The red didn't have much body to it (thin) and I prefer thick, but that is a minor quibble and a personal one at that. The chips were nothing special. Really should be complementary, but again, just my opinion.
I think lunch was around 23 dollars with no drinks. Don't know if you consider that pricey or not. The actual restaurant was clean, light and had a neat mural on the wall. The staff was patient and did their jobs, but weren't overly welcoming or friendly.
One other minor quibble. When paying, they turn what looks like an Ipad register screen to you to sign (if you use a card). There are a half dozen buttons to accept the charge, accept the charge with 10% tip and so on up to 30% tip. Now I generally tip well for good service, but I never tip before I've gotten that service or food. Just seemed kind of odd to me.
Would I go back? Yes, I will be curious to see how things shake out after a few months. Not really a "destination" place for me, more of a "if I'm in the neighborhood" type of place at this point.

OK, I'm confused.
Do they actually wait on the tables, or do you go thru a line like Chipotle and Costa Vida? And if they don't wait on the tables, are people still asked to tip as if they did wait on the table? (As Joe mentioned). Seems odd, but I guess you can always ask !!
Or did I miss something.

Do they have an option to not leave a tip? I never tip for food that I order at a counter and they hand it to me or they hand me a number and I take a seat and wait for them to bring me my food.

I stopped by the other night. They are slowly adding new menu items, and may start some unique specials.
I really want these folks to succeed. They are good people making good food.

While all this may be true the need to shore up their business policies to make sure people don't have to raise questions about tipping even before they are served!

I want them to succeed as well! I only offered my critique/review in the hopes that they will at least consider the viewpoint. Sometimes, you put so much time and effort into the million things it takes to open/run a business that you miss the small things seen from another perspective. I'm sure they will adjust things as time goes on, that is why I will return after their shakedown period.
I hope I didn't sound too negative in my original post. Most things were minor quibbles and easily fixed.
