I like Chang's for lunch, you can't complain about the choice of ingredients in your bowl, cuz you put them there. The biggest problem with Chang's is the guy in front of you. Depending on what they selected, it can influence your dish. If you don't like hot spicy at all, and the guy in front of you loads on the chili oil and fresh jalapeno's, you may end up with a spicier bowl than you bargained for even though you used nothing spicy at all.

Perhaps Naga/Spicy can give us the inside scoop on why this placed closed. He/She/It was touting the grand opening so much.

I heard that suggested once before on a restaurant forum. I've heard there is a patio deck out back looking over humbug creek. It could be a great place for a brew pub with snack food. Don't need to offer full blown dinners. burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, a few deep fried goodies, french fries, onion rings, stuffed jalapenos & stuffed mushrooms and maybe popcorn shrimp and fish fillets. Nachos are a great snack item as well. keep the offerings fairly simple and add a salsa & condiment bar so the clientele can customize their order how they like it. Add a few flat screens for sports, higher sexy looking waitresses, and the guys will come.

I think it would be a great place for a brew pub as well. And I'd love to see a variety of non-fried appetizers and snacks.

no problem, veggie trays and a salad bar are easy to add as well, no reason to alienate the healthy eaters.

I used to go to a place called Faultline Brewery in Sunnyvale when I lived down there. Besides good beer, they went real simple and easy on the food. Next to the outdoor area they had some of those big charcoal grills made out of half-barrels and they cooked hotdogs, sausages and skewers of marinated beef and chicken. Everything cooked in a few minutes and came off in a soft roll on a paper plate.
Real easy and quick to prepare, perfect beerfood. I think they charged a dollar or two per skewer depending on what it was, but that was 12+ years ago.

small world, I just had dinner there Tuesday night with a good friend. A little pricey, more elegant than what I was thinking for lockdown in town, but so strange that you mentioned Faultline. conicidences never cease to amaze me. BTW, my ribs were awesome that I ordered, and the 2 different beers I had were excellent.
