We have a real shortage of fast food joints in this town. hehe How about a Sonic Drive In? Huge variety of food oohh I have a great idea !! How about a Sonic and Hooters blended together? Now that IS a unique concept don't Ya think? LOL...

Not the blending, but a Sonic burger kitty-corner to where In'n'Out is going would be awesome.

and by kitty-corner, I mean here
I would rather be Backpacking

Carnivore: If your burger/Hooters joint should come to be, perhaps they should put it where Strikes is proposing to set up shop -- then the Briggs Ranchers will REALLY have something to complain about!!!

P.S., Carnivore: I have personal knowledge that you are NOT the Hooters type ... besides, they probably have warm beer like another establishment we used to frequent rolleyes.gif

Funny you say Sonic I just said this past weekend I am craving good old fashion drive in food and literally being able to drive up and sit in the car. Hubby and I just celebrated 25 years this week and we both really wanted it to be like it was when we met our first date was at A&W in the bay area a drive in. A month ago we went to a race in Fallon NV and we stopped at Sonic for dinner with the kids and they thought it was the coolest... I like In and Out but not as much as Sonic.

Another Bay Area treat I miss is Harry's Hof Brau. I used to love Sams in Cameron Park and also down on Watt Ave.
Do you know of any Carvery's around here? or even Drive Up Sonic like places around here?

Hopeanelli, I think there is a Hof Brau in the food court at the Folsom Factory Outlets. I haven't been, but did read a review some time ago and the Bee said some good things about it... just a thought

You're kidding right? The food is made entirely of salt.

I have the same problem at Outbacks and Ruby Tuesday's and a lot of others. Are people so afraid now to salt up their own food they've forgotten what it tastes like and equate it with "good" at a restaurant?

Are we primarily talking chain restaurants? If so, I'd like to vote for Bone Daddy's.

If you've been to one, you know the 3 attractions that would make this a winner in the area.

What kind of restaurant do you wish Folsom had?

I just got reminded of Ciao Bella! That would go down well in Folsom smile.gif

I would like to see a soup kitchen like SoupTown or something like that move in. My ex-wife used to max-out our credit cards and make my life really unpleasant (like when she came home from work or made me pick up our kids from whatever sport they were doing.) So when she was living on the street with them, I would visit her from time to time and we'd eat at this restaurant called Loaves and Fishes downtown. Pretty good food...no seafood though.

Listen, I know you're trying, but you haven't been funny yet.
