Look kid, you may think you know everything about everything at your age, but I have news for you - you don't.

Those of us in our 40's etc have a lot more experience with life then you do so stop with the slams and put downs on the adults and stop trying to make yourself look like some holy person who somehow miraculously knows what everybody is doing at all times at FHS dances etc.

It's like me saying there's no crimes or shop lifting or drug usage or drinking and driving ever going on in Folsom because I have never seen that happen so there for it must not ever happen because I said so - see how that works?

BTW, you just contradicted yourself, you claim nothing bad goes on at FHS, then you call me blind if I believe my daughter says ""Oh, it's just me and stacie going over to her house tonight?" - that would insinuate bad things go on which ironically you've been trying to deny in this entire thread

make up your mind

to say what vader said to insult everyone last night, can't you see the sarcasm in his post? no one is saying because we didn't see it it is not going on. what we are saying is that the things you are saying people saw with security and being dark, NO ONE COULD SEE IT! thats the point we are trying to make is that the people you heard this from are jerking your leg. and to all people excess the age of 35 insulting kids under 18 or 18. MOVE ONTO A DIFFERENT TOPIC!! pick your favorite retirement home or favorite restaurant. this is a issue that if there was truth to it the accusations then Folsom High School would take action in it.

that was a sarcastic reply to chip, try not to get so defensive

read the posts, almost all of you have stated you freak dance, or did you conveniently forget that already?

and I hate to break it to you but yes, most people in their 40's are 100x's more mature then teenagers

and yes we freak dance because that is how all the kids dance. now like i stated before i have seen the styles of dancing in san diego while i lived there and folsom is clean in dancing. the music changed over the years so has the dance styles.

1) i've openly indicated that we arent perfect.

2) Don't tell me not to come back at Chip if he's gonna keep his crap up.

3) You're hundreds of times more mature? You're doing a fantastic job showing it.

4) I think that, being a student, i'm a little more in touch with whats going on in my school than you are.

5) my mind has been made up the whole time. Show me where i contradicted myself. I never said NOBODY does drugs or had sex. I'm saying the thought that we do it in the middle of the dance floor is ridiculous.

Wow, I'm shocked, albeit not surprised, by the responses from students in this thread. I weap for the future generations.

folsom is not perfect but is better than most schools.

I completely agree

Kids, keep in mind this is not a witch hunt against you and most of us do realize this is not the norm and not common

None of us who have been discussing this rationally have stated its a school wide epidemic, it was merely a discussion about the things are kids were telling us about the dance

Nobody has gone out of their way to make up lies to try and tarnish all you kids' reputations and again, its not all you kids who are bad, it's just a few, same goes with drug usage, it happens and its been happening since we were all in school at one time or another, but that doesn't mean every single person in school is a dope, just a few....

again, this isn't a witch hunt or a statement that all kids at FHS are bad because we sure the heck know better then that, our own kids who are attending are proof (at least I can speak for my own two) and you kids posting here seem to be pretty good and smart kids,, I commend you all for coming on here and stating your case and telling your observations

but keep in mind, there are others who made observations there too and I personally have no reason to believe my daughter and her friends somehow decided to make it all up just to have a conversation with me.

oh yeah, Vader can be jerky to people sometimes, trust me, I've had my battles with him, but he's got his opinions too, best thing to do is just reply in kind, but its always best to try and take the high road

keep in mind, just as you are doing now - sometimes folks get very passionate about certain topics - this is obviously a hot one

glad to see you are being civil now. and I'm not saying they made it up either, but the accusations about condoms and sex are not able to be said true or false because it was dark, people form a "mosh pit" in the middle to dance in and you cant see the floor or really what people are doing. now the flasks, i know some idiot probably brought one in but those are the kids that think they are gangsters. and the football game i was under a blanket. having sex? no trying to keep warm, i had a big jacket on but i was still cold so a blanket with a few other people made it even warmer. and no parent or faculty member working the concession stand were drunk. they wouldn't risk their jobs for that.

I'm from L.A. - that place makes San Diego look like Beverly Hills by comparison

and yeah, I know dancing has changed over the years, me personally I don't have a problem with the freak dancing - but as you can see, a ton of people do have issues with it because of the sexuality involved, that tends to make the parents of daughters very nervous.... understandably, you gotta realize some of us parents really care about the well being of our children and we worry about early pregnancy and all that scary stuff... and yeah I'll admit most of the time its just paranoia on our part

I'm sure I drove my parents nuts too with the crazy stuff I did - anyone who claims they were perfect angels when they were kids are bold faced liars

that all depends on what part of LA and what part of San Diego

I think as a parent of two students I am a little more in tune with things that are going on then you'd like to give parents credit for. Again, you kids are not child prodigy's so stop acting like you are

were you in the middle of the dance floor the ENTIRE night - if not you cannot say you know what goes on every minute during the dance

Yep.

A punkish society where the inmates (punk, know-it-all kids) seem to run the asylum. And parents just throw-up their hands in defeat.

If I had talked that way when I was a kid, I'd have been knocked from here to Wednesday by my parents and/or peers.

If these kids are any indication, the future is dim. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
I have opinions, you have opinions. We'll just call it even...is that OK ??

Immaturity beams in those who are arguing and name calling. Regardless of whether people are misinformed are not this is no way to act. Now I understand why teenagers get a lack of respect at restraunts, movies, etc. A handful of people wreck it for the rest of us.
