I have not seen any 711's in Folsom. Don't laugh, but I think that with all these businesses closing dows, the City iof Folsom is losing massive amounts of tax revenues. Why wouldn't they consider 711 and other stuff like that???

I know I will probably get all kinds of smart alleck responses from folks in Folsom offended at the utter mention of 711, BUT the fact remains that the City in 2009 has lost SIGNIFICANT tax revenues with all these closures.

What about legalized marijuana shops all over town and tax them crazy. hey the City is gotta do to make by.

7-11 was the place back in the day. Now I hardly see any. I think the one on Madison is still there. Besides, we have that crappy Circle K on Riley and E. Natoma, we don't need more slum stores around town.

We actually have 2 Circle K's on Natoma St. (just 0.6 miles apart or 5 blocks) and a total of 4 in town.

What's different between 7-eleven's and the convenience stores in the Chevron gas stations that are on every corner in town?

I just drove by Nalabar and there was a U-Haul truck in front and they were loading up tables and chairs.... I guess they are really going for sure..

Several sites have comments from users saying they closed that same date 7/20.

Also it appears they declared bankruptcy 4/29/09.

very simple. The City of Folsom (as well as other municipalities) have been devastated by this deep recession. All these RECORD business closures = record loss of revenue.
New business = more revenue

There are tons of empty commercial space. desperate times = deseperate measures???

I'm just saying that there are lots of other cities in the US that are considering allowing strip joints, legal pot houses, etc.

When you have Police Officers and Firefighters being laid off, what do you do as a city? (this may have3 not happened in Folsom (yet), but it has in lots of cities.

So I guess, my question is what is the tipping point? How much Fiscal pressure can Folsom take before they explore other revenue generating options? There is only so much watrer and garbage increases you can do in any given point.

Add Taqueria La Mexicana to the list. It's now Taqueria Tapatio #10. Too bad, on a good day their carnitas were great!

Their food still seems good to me. I don't think there was any change in staffing or recipes.

Good to know, we'll have to give them a try.
