That doesnt make a whole lotta sense pal... Im not the one with the crush on guys in uniform.. If you remember correctly, Im the "criminal" with a distrust of law enforcement who was righteously pissed by Joseph Han being killed the way he was..

Sorry you don't understand what I wrote. I'll try to type slower.

I understand Joseph Han's family and friends grieving and wanting answers and closure. All I'm getting from you is a rant against law enforcement, pure and simple.

And as I resident of Folsom and American citizen I dont have the right to question or criticize the particular actions of FPD that day? Guess what Ducky, thats my right!! Not only am I a person with a right to their opinion (just like you), but a taxpayer who lives in Folsom who (along with you) will probably be footing the bill for whatever it costs for them to "make it better".. Should have never happened in the first place..

You absolutely have the right to question the FPD's actions. I just don't understand the criticism without having been there and having all the facts. Why do you automatically assume the FPD is -- how did you put it? -- bumbling, overzealous, and trigger happy? You have the right to say that, but I have the right to disagree with that characterization.

Im not the only one who feels this way.. Talk to people around town.. It is nice to see that so many of you have a great trust and respect of the FPD, however I dont think that these forums accurately or proportionally reflect the opinons of the FPD by the people of Folsom.. I have my opinion, you have yours.. leave it at that.. You are happy with the particular outcome of this tragedy, I happen to feel differently.. Would love to hear more information soon.. Dont know much more than we did a week ago..

That is absolutely not true!!! Not one single poster here is happy this happened. I defy you to find even one post saying they are happy this happened.

My question is why the taser didn't work.

Hopefully you are not pleased with the outcome but the tone of a lot of posters here seems to be: "Cops are great, the guy who died is a bad guy".. This was not the case and its sad to see and hear..

One quote, give us just one quote where anyone said "the guy who died is a bad guy". Just one....

After reading this story, I wonder if Tasers actually put officers more at risk. Why do they malfunction so often?

Which is why is said the tone of your arguements.. I just think the cop loving and "mess with the cops you die" attitudes are a bit disrespectful to the victim and his family..

"Which is why is said"??? What the h... does that mean?

Most of the posts on this thread have been very respectful... to the police, the family and the victim. You're the one who came on here with an ax to grind, saying the police were trigger happy and wanted to be like the cops on TV. You're the one who implied that others on this thread were happy with the outcome. You're the one who said the others on this thread indicated that the victim was a bad guy.

The rational members of this forum have stated its a tragic situation, we feel for all those involved, and lets wait to see what the investigation says. If you have any additional information that the rest of us don't, give it up. If not, quit trolling.

Hmmm Incompetent people operating the tasers possibly?

Thanks for making it perfectly clear you have an ax to grind with all law enforcement and not only Folsom PD.

Your self-serving posts are the only disrespectful component in this thread.

I just hope that at some point we can get the information and truth about what happened so that we can move on. It's doubtful that will ever happen, but we can try and have faith in "the system".

Yes I did say those things.. This is a message board.. Not a Folsom PD fan club meeting.. Why is a differing opinion so threatening to you?

Differing opinion is not threatening to me. But I will always stand up against lies, unsubstantiated accusations and character assassination.

I for one don't want to believe the Folsom PD is trigger happy. I don't want to believe they went into Joseph's home wanting to shoot him. I am willing to wait for the investigation to find out what exactly did happened.

I've wanted to avoid speculation since, quite honestly, most of it turns out to be wrong at this point.

Darryl - I do have some questions for you. What time did you get to Elkins Circle on Easter Sunday? Where you by chance taping interviews with the neighbors? Have you always been mistrustful of the police, or is your anger strictly a result of Joseph's shooting?

I saw on the news that Joseph's friends had a candlelight vigil for him Sunday (?) night. I thought that was nice. According to KCRA's report, they are planning on having another later this week. Also nice. I hope we can always remember the positive things that h2831 told us about Joseph. I hope is parent's and brother find peace.

I don't know about you all, but if a person is coming at me with a knife and I have a gun, he/she is going to get shot.

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

Agreed, someone comes into my home and they have a knife, I have a gun, I shoot them, that's self defense.

Don't forget, the young man didn't go into the cops house, they went into HIS house, therefore, they could have left, rather than shooting him.

And what would have happend if they left and the entire Han family were stabbed? The PD would be ridiculed for not doing their job.

The family called to get help for him...not because they were scared for their lives.
