Too bad they screwed the pooch when they were going to condemn Ilhan Omar's bigoted comments. Dems are a trainwreck.  Then they got into a procedural battle over Pelosi's remarks and had to vote to keep her comments in... Such a trainwreck that Dem rep Cleaver abandoned the chair and Leader Hoyer had to come in and sit for him (very rare).  Hoyer then found Pelosi's remarks out of order (they violated the House rules).  They then had to have a vote on whether to strike Pelosi's words from the record.  So in other words (via Allahpundit)

White people should be aware that ANYTHING they say that disagrees in the least, with what people of color think, is a racist. It doesn't have to be directed at the person of color, nor does it have to be personal in nature.

 

It merely has to be said by a white person and it is dubbed racist.

 

We had an eight year education of this under the Obama administration, and now we are getting a refresher course.

While politicians and Presidential hopefuls expressed their outrage and pointed fingers at the Trump administration, official data indicates that Mexico-U.S. border deaths have actually declined in the first two years of the current administration.

According to statistics compiled by the United States Border Patrol, there were 298 border deaths in 2017 and 283 in 2018, making it an average of 291 per year. The average yearly deaths under President Obama stood at 372 and 382 under the Bush administration.

"But the reality is that deaths at the U.S-Mexico border decreased after Donald Trump became president, the analysis stated. The fact remains that the totals from 2017 (298) and 2018 (283) are two of the lowest since 1999 and there was no mass outcry in earlier years with much higher numbers.
