Again, I agree that Pizzaria Classico is awesome. I guess its a personal preference that I prefer chicago fire. Their spinach salad and thin crust pizzas are to die for.

I feel the same way...the two best pizza places in Folsom, and in my opinion the area, are at the same intersection. I also prefer Chicago Fire and use it for takeout - eliminates the long waits. As 4thGen mentions about Classico, you can get a Chicago Fire pizza and take it to one of the local joints, from what I hear several allow it. Just remember to call ahead and find out when your pizza will be ready. Another plus for me: the owners of Chicago Fire are great folks and Folsom residents.

Since we are focused on that intersection, I also agree about Hacienda (reminder to self, if you can't say something nice...).

The ISLANDS makes me ill every time I've had a burger...Not sure what kind of meat is in there...It goes down ok..but comes back like a boomerrang.....Kangaroo meat maybe:)))
It also has a funky smell when entering that I don't care for....
ALSO....Fat's is highly overrated
Americans, don't just come in one color or race.

I'm sorry, I have to disagree with some of your votes. Bailies is pretty good, but since their multitude of owner changes, cancelled coupons, and declining service.. I just can't put them in my top 5 anymore.

Have you been there lately? We went last week and it was just as good as its always been over the past few years.

Best:

Islands is really good, and has the best frys.

Sutter St. Grill is the best for breakfest or lunch, but the wait is looooooooooonnnggggg.

Aloha makes some good sushi for a decent price.

Worst:

BJ's is terrible. I eaten a couple of times, here and the bay, and it flat out sucks.

Anyone know a good Thai place?

Thai Siam in The Lakes shopping center is good, but the service can get overloaded quickly.

I've lately been going to Amarin Thai across the river on Folsom-Auburn blvd.

Im glad to hear that someone else likes bailies as much as I do. I swear by it.

I also dislike Islands. Its a burger place that serves mediocre burgers... does that make sense. If youre going to specialize in something it better be damn good.

I love Bjs. Not neccessarily for the food, but more for the atmosphere and the beer. Their Jeremiah Red is amongst the best I've had.

I havent experienced any lack of meatage at Beach Hut. Its still just as messy as ever. If anything( I cant believe Im about to say this) they could use a little less meat sometimes.

Not quite in Folsom, but just up the hill a bit is Chantara, located in EDH near the new movie theater. That place is great!

It once took over an hour to get a sandwich at Beach Hut. The great food is no match for how horribly long it takes to get it.

And Pizzeria Classico mops the floor with Chicago Fire and any other pizza joint in town.

Oh yeah? Well, you're some weirdo who like cashews on their pizza, right? wink.gif IMHO Pizzeria Classico is OK. Better than most California pizza, but not close to Chicago Fire.

So, how do you guys feel about Streets of London's food? I swear they deep fry everything. But overall, you can't beat their atmosphere and Tuesday night trivia...

Thanks for the reply,

Along those same lines, what's the best BBQ place around here? I've tried a few but nothing to make me want to come back.

As a BBQ connoisseur I can say there are NOT any really good BBQ places in Folsom. Across the river is BBQ Express. Never tried it, but heard its not that great. There is also Armadillo Willy's on Greenback in Orangevale. They are OK.

If you want really good BBQ I have to recommend Lucille's in Roseville/Rocklin. They are located next to RC Willy's. Best BBQ I have had in Sac area.

BBQ has proven incredibly difficult for Folsom to accomplish.

The best IN Folsom, is probably the Folsom Hotel

Orangevale just got an Armadillo Willy's (for all you transplants out there)

But the best I've found in the greater region is Incahoots in Plymouth. Some Amador wine and good BBQ, Mmmmmmm.....

For Sutter St you just have to wake up a little earlier biggrin.gif
Couldn't agree more about BJ's..... Their food BLOWS! (no pun intended)
