Nobody rode Cyndis coat tails - if you are who I think you are, you know better than that. If I am wrong, and you are not the Sue that I think you are, email me, I will forward your email to Cyndi and we will see what she has to say about that - who helped who. I have been elected on my own merits both times

Yes... you are very original... using my argument against myself. Don't you think it is childish to complain over the number of words in a letter to the editor. You thought it was so important that you would take likely more than an hour to go down to the Telegraph to complain.
It reminds me of things I hear kids say...
"Mommy... Johnnie got more ice cream than me... I want more ice cream. You can't let Johnnie have more than me! Wa Wa!"
or adults...
"Gloria... Ernie got more words than me... I want more words. You can't let Ernie have more words than me! Wa Wa!"

This isn't childish, DrKoz. This is about following the rules, something children usually learn to do early on. For some reason Mr. Sheldon has been made the exception to the rule. Apparently, he's also allowed extra time to speak at city council meetings when everyone else - and I mean everyone - is limited to the minutes they are allowed to speak down to the second. There is actually a clock clicking away on the wall at the meetings. I know I've witnessed him speak well past the allotted time at council meetings, but I didn't realize it was a regular occurrence.
Maybe some day you will want to write a letter to the editor and have it sent back until you can pare it down to the precise number of words, not allowing you to convey your message as you would like, only to see someone like Mr. Sheldon has been given special treatment and allowed free rein. Maybe then you won't feel the rules are so childish and only meant for the rest of us.
Of course, if you keep your "Wa Wa!" argument, then maybe the number of words won't be a problem.

Last time I checked... the Folsom Telegraph is owned and operated by a private company. They have the right to make their own rules... change their rules... or make exceptions to rules at any time they feel. Don't they? Have any of you asked to have two letters posted at a time? Maybe Ernie is just better at convincing.
I am also guessing if Ernie wrote 2 letters in support of Kerri... neither of you two would be complaining. This just shows your hypocritical stance. You only care about the rule when it isn't beneficial to you.
Do you also sit at every single city council meeting and check the 3 minute clock for every single speaker. You are now speaking in generalitites. Probably not a good thing to do.
Oh yeah... one last thing... "Wa Wa!"

I don't know what rock you crawled out from under, but I have been to several city council meetings and watched many more on TV and YES Ernie does go over his minutes almost all the time. Mr Holderness does sometimes too. Most people are not allowed to but some people do get special extra time.
lalalalalalala

I asked if you had been to EVERY SINGLE council meeting to make sure that NO ONE else got any extra time as the clock ticked down from 3 minutes... or that Ernie ALWAYS got more than 3 minutes.
Well... from your response that you have been to several... it doesn't mean every! I am sure he is not the ONLY person to get extra time EVER.
Oh yeah... "Wa Wa!"

GO KERRI ..............
Nice rebuttals in the Folsom Telegraph today.

Nobody rebutted my article about Kerri's inappropriate comments.
Does this mean everyone agrees that inappropriate comments are NOT acceptable from council members?
If so, what should be done with those who have made them?

Anyone who has been reading this forum in the recent past knows that Robert has some issue with me. Perhpas he is entitled to one - I am not sure what it is or why - other that I am running and he is not. You all know that I have suggested that he contact me directly. He has not done that. He has my home phone, my cell phone, and he knows where I live - yet he has chosen to use NONE of those avenues. He persists in demanding answers that relate to personnel matters, or closed session discussions of the Council. Not that I would ever provide him with information from a closed session, that would violate the entire purpose of the Brown Act. Nor would I provide him with information from the personnel department - who wants their HR file displayed on a public forum????? He persists in looking for answers to questions that have long ago gone by the boards. He was on a tirade about the location of the library that is almost complete, he was recently asking questions about a City Manager that "retired" more than 7 years ago. This is my advice to Robert, do not vote for me - vote for whomever you want, if you have a question, call or email me directly, get over the past (including all of your long time issues with the City that relate to your personal life), move on!
The sad thing is that I believe Robert really does care about the City - he has a funny way of showing it. Is this all about Robert not getting an appointment to anything in recent years??????? If you would like me to appoint you to a City position, you will need to pick up the phone, as a direct conversation, as opposed to an attack, will be required. Robert really is a nice guy - I hope he starts acting that way again soon.
I asked Kerri if she was so passionate about wanting to the save Farley Field, why didn't she try to get the library site moved to the vacant land next to the HS, the same land we sold for $7.8 million to a developer who then turned around and resold it in weeks for over $21,000,000.
I asked why wasn't this site even considered, wasn't even on any list to be considered.
I guess we all know the real reason why now don't we!
I'll expect the usual response how I'm doing this for political gain, hoping to get a seat on a commission, my motives are evil, I'm looking for the machines support in two years, I'm trying to blow smoke over the truth. etc etc etc.

Robert, I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I think the reason that people are responding as they are to your posts is because you are blaming Kerri for all of this! You act like she is the only one on the council making all these decisions, then you say that she is the only one on the council not "going with the flow". I obviously don't know as much as you do about the innerworkings of the Folsom City Council, nor do I really want to. I edumacate myself in city politics to a certain degree.
I do commend you for your passion and love of our city. These replies to you aren't personal - at least from my perspective. But I think that people, myself included, genuinely like Kerri and the decisions that she's made for the City and feel they need to respond to your posts as such.

Perhaps they've just grown tired of trying to discuss things with you
