no, a neighbor with a truck is infinitely more useful than a neighbor with a BMW

How about these questions that nobody needs to answer on here. Just answer them in your head.
But it's so much more fun to answer this stuff for everyone to see!! Besides, I just tried to answer them in my head, but that line is busy...
Folsom Non-Snobs...DO NOT be afraid!!! You can safely come out into the light.....no more closet non-snobbery!!

That's because it's a convertible. Put a top on that thing and it's not near as useful.
My husband hauled six patio table chairs from Lowe's (which thankfully nestled into one another) into the front passenger seat of his BMW. People in the parking lot were laughing at/with us as we negotiated the fit, but hey -- we did it, pushing the seat as far back as it would go and lowering the back of the seat all the way

The worst was the ikea closet system. Flat packed, but still 6'x5'x2'
Cruising down Hwy 50 with a dorsal fin!
Christmas was always fun hauling the tree home
You couldn't tie it to the top so it had to go inside, and the top down because of rain!

Do you lease a luxury car because you couldn't afford the payments had you purchased it? (Doesn't apply to those leasing for tax/business reasons.)
My husband and I both drive compact cars....a chevy and toyota, both over four years old. Good on gas and gets us where we need to be
Do you only associated with people who belong to your club/church/live in your upscale neighborhood?
We associate with pretty much anyone who will associate back to us
I like people and enjoy learning about them
Do you use or believe in the the phrase "Other side of Oak Avenue?"
I know where Oak Ave is, but I have never heard this phrase, sooooo...???
Have you ever said to your spouse, "Well, I just have to get XYZ because XYZ has it too."
No...
...and if I ever did, he would think I had been abducted by aliens who replaced me with a pod-person!
Do you keep up with the Joneses? "Mr. X just got a 50" flat screen, must be time to upgrade myself."
I have never cared about keeping up with anyone else. We only upgrade anything we have when forced to (i.e., VCR to DVD, etc.) We don't yet own a flat-screen, we all share one cell phone and use it for emergencies...typically for us to replace anything means that something caught fire or fell off the back of a truck or something of that nature!
You don't EVEN want to know about the 1998 Refrigerator incident
Do regularly talk or speculate about how much money people make? (Including yourself.) Do you introduce people with their profession attached to their name?
I was raised to believe that this is impolite so I don't sit around thinking about it. As long as I can pay my bills and have a little left over for fun, I'm good
Even if I knew someone with a profession...I wouldn't introduce them that way.
Do you look up to those with high-paying white collared job and look down upon those with lower-paying blue collar jobs?
I always felt a job, is a job, is a job...the only reason I would look up (or down) on anyone is because of the kind of person they are..not for extraneous stuff like their car and whatnot
Does the sight of a pick-up truck in your neighborhood make you bristle?
Nope, makes me think I should make friends with the driver of said truck, in case I have anything that needs to be moved!
Would you rather have a BMW parked in your neighbor's driveway than a pick-up truck, assuming they are similar condition and age?
I am okay with either...what is everyone's obsession with BMW's?????
Do you pity people who live in apartments?
Having lived in both apartments and houses my entire house...I tend to envy those who live in apartments....no PROPERTY TAX
Do you think you're "better" than people who live in Rancho/Sacramento/Antelope?
Nope
Actually have family/friends that live in all of those areas
Do you not shop at Winco because of the customers?
Well....I don't shop there FOR the customers
but I do like the prices...anything I need that I can't get there, I just pick up at Safeway on my way home
Okay, even tho I jest quite a bit of the time...the above answers are complete and true to the best of my knowledge
Hey, if Folsom Non-Snobs need a leader, I am throwing my hat (that was purchased at a garage sale) in the ring....

Mea culpa! mea culpa!! You are absolutely right....I should not be throwing hats around willy-nilly like that....the longer it's left on the ground, the more likely it will be ran over by someone in a BMW or something....

or worse it could be run over with a lexus. You know one of those that actually has a camera.
then you would know it was a snob who ran over your hat. They saw it coming!!

How about these questions that nobody needs to answer on here. Just answer them in your head.
Do you lease a luxury car because you couldn't afford the payments had you purchased it? (Doesn't apply to those leasing for tax/business reasons.) Actually, I look down on those that do thinking how friggin stupid they are to invest that much in a depreciating asset.
Do you only associated with people who belong to your club/church/live in your upscale neighborhood? Hell no
Do you use or believe in the the phrase "Other side of Oak Avenue?" I was just going to reference that... too funny. I guess I live in the hood with you.
Have you ever said to your spouse, "Well, I just have to get XYZ because XYZ has it too." I've only used that phrase for justification to NOT get something.
Do you keep up with the Joneses? "Mr. X just got a 50" flat screen, must be time to upgrade myself." Again, I take great pride in going against the flow. The masses are stupid (hey, that's snobbish unto itself).
Do regularly talk or speculate about how much money people make? (Including yourself.) Do you introduce people with their profession attached to their name? No, but, being in sales, I do like to hook people up that I feel my be natural networking partners.
Do you look up to those with high-paying white collared job and look down upon those with lower-paying blue collar jobs? No. I had a buddy from high school that worked in maintenance (a janitor) for at least the first 10 years out of high school because it allowed him the freedom to surf the best waves at the best times. Bless him for that. By the same token, there is someone in a trailer park right now drinking a 40-ouncer having such a great time that he/ she could not imagine being a slave to the dollar or the clock like most of us. Good for both of them.
Does the sight of a pick-up truck in your neighborhood make you bristle? No. My best friends drive pick up trucks, and you must have neighbors with them to help you move the big stuff anyway.
Would you rather have a BMW parked in your neighbor's driveway than a pick-up truck, assuming they are similar condition and age? Could care less, although refer to previous question as far as the utilitarian aspect...edge goes to the pick up.
Do you pity people who live in apartments? No again. They don't have all the maintenance a homeowner does. Good for them.
Do you think you're "better" than people who live in Rancho/Sacramento/Antelope? No, although I would much rather live in Folsom. I know some people in Folsom that I would trade to Antelope, Sac, Rancho for just about anyone.
Do you not shop at Winco because of the customers? I shop at Winco for everything but meat and fruit that I want to keep more than a day or two.
