She cried? I didn't see the show, I'll have to watch the tape of it later I guess. Not that I'm glad she cried or anything, but it makes it less boring when you already know the results.

Yeah, she cried. Ryan had to tell her to buck up and give a great performance. I wasn't sure if she was going to be able to do it.

She'll be part of the tour so it's not over for her....

Who knows what kind of gig she might get out of it....

I predict next week is going to be Cristy Lee or Jason babe...

I think Brooke is going to step it up next time...

The others will be safe...

So what did you all think about last night? I was disappointed in my boy David Cook or maybe it's just I don't know that song- anyone know that song and the group I would like to hear the original??

I love his voice sometimes I hear a little Eddie Vedder actually quite a few times I have... Love Eddie Vedders new (kind of new) song Big Hard Sun, love it love it... I see David singing that song

Can't believe I am saying this but I liked Kristi last night.
Jason was good the song was perfect for him I would love to hear him sing a Jack Johnson song....

So when you guys see them lined up at the end of the night who do you see as being the "IDOL" --- I asked myself that last night and really couldn't put a good guess on that... I don't see a Kelly or Carrie, Ruben?? wasn't really that impressed with him.... Fantasia same thing I think I loved her story her struggles in life how far she had come...

I actually like Ruben's new song they play when someone gets voted off first song I have really liked by him

Looking forward to tonights Give Back show always good for a tear or two and Carries version of Stand by You... One of my most all time favorite Chrissy Hines song...

Give me your thoughts who do you see as the next American Idol????

It was an ok show last night (as Randy would say) but it didn't wow me

I'm so tired of David Archulette and the way the judges gush over him everytime while dissing other better singers
I thought Carly was awesome, Jason's rendition of Iz's Over the Rainbow song was fantastic (folk music is his nitch, he could be another Jack Johnson). David Cook did pretty good, but that jacket was kinda goofy (sorta Michael Jackson-ish) is he getting too cocky now? Michael John's did good and Brooke did ok too. I was bored by Sayesha and Kristy Lee tho, they sing great, but their musical style is not something I'd go buy.

I think the next to go will be Kristy, she's a pretty gal and has a great voice and all but I think her style has too much saturation on the market already - its not fresh, nor unique - same goes for Sayesha - maybe they'll be in the bottom three, but I don't know who will be the third

Tonite's benefit show should be interesting with all the people who will be performing. I thought it was interesting too to hear that some of the funds will be going to help out families right here in California, in a town near Visalia (forgot the name). Thats nice that they'll be helping out the less fortunate right here in America

David Cook's song was "Our Lady of Peace." I think I only know a couple of their songs, and I didn't know that one. My husband did, though. I was so disappointed in David's performance. I still think he's great, but I didn't like it. And, that jacket was awful.

I thought Kristy Lee was good, even though I can't wait for her to leave.

The rest were all fine. I think Jason definitely has his own sound. He will not make it to the final, but he may still have a music career. I could see Syesha going home. She doesn't do much for me.

We'll see.....

Check out this news item about David's performance - kinda hits home because I too thought he was a bit too cocky: http://blogs.reuters...ves-david-cook/

Thanks DB I knew you would find it....

Yeah not sure what he was thinking and he was a bit Cocky and did seem very very deflated when Simon and Randy checked him....

Kind of iffy for him this week he maybe in the lowest although this is his first week to bomb maybe America will keep him, he will need to check himself , remember he is still amateur and get back to the Idol competition....

PS- I like the original version never heard of them but it will go in the iPod library....

Simon has it out for Syesha and Carly, he never gives them a good review. His rating has a big impact on how the votes go I think and one of them will be the next to go.
