How long were you on hold? I am wondering if they have my number in their system because I can't get through and I kept questioning about why they are changing their terms and conditions without notice. I'll try calling from a different number tomorrow...

I can't remember off hand what extension i used but when it prompts you....Press 2 for....Press 3 for.....
One of the options is for the gas rebate program, do not select that one. Instead select the option for purchasing the certificates. Low and behold....they will answer that line within a few rings. Then you just tell them you want to speak with a supervisor.
I have tried the gas rebate option and was on hold for 10+ minutes with "one" person in front of me the whole time. Not sure if I'm reading into all of this but I was curious about this. On most automated systems the voice will change on the number. For example the recording would sound separated.
"There is currently"....."(number)"....."customers in front of you".
On most automated systems the (number) has a little pause before it because it has to calculate and insert the recorded voices number. But on myfreetravel's automated system it is smooth:
"There is currently one caller in front of you."
This just makes me think they throw that recording on there just to give you hope. For all we know there could be 50+ people in front of you.

Yet another reason I don't give out my home address.
I didn't sell any coupons nor did Beck's. I gave mine out if a customer bought an additional service item from me that was priced at 40.00. Even if I was responsible when all else failed, I'd gladly give back the 40.00 or service/product in that amount. I do recall the original company's coupons having a statement about them being seperate from the supplier of the rebate program, so I assume that let's Beck's off the hook. There has to be a precedent for something like this. The fact that at least one person got his tells me the program should be working as promised.
Have some patience. I'll let you know when I get mine.

That is a smart move on your part then. I do agree that they probaly all have statements saying that this rebate program is seperate from the service/product being sold. But in my case and I would imagine a lot of Beck's customers situations they factored the $600 rebate into the deal. If this rebate company does not follow through with their word ANY attorney could win this case in a courtroom. I will give them until the end of this week, not that they deserve any more time but it will just help my cause on getting a refund. Let me know if you get yours in the mail today....I would really like to see someone that does not sell these rebates report as having recieved one before my opinion is really swayed though.

Great idea! I will do that today when I call.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Filed a complaint with the BBB regarding Becks... Easy to do I encourage everyone involved to do it too. Might be a good idea to file one against myfreetravel too.

For what? Why? On what grounds? Are they in breach of your contract? Have you given up that easily?
I just got off the phone with the "people" in Chicago and the word is that I should get my August coupon by the end of next week. OK, I'll wait longer I guess before freaking out.
(tears) I want my debit card now! (tears)

So I'm guessing you still didn't get yours today but "next week" you will. What a great way to start this promotion off! Don't you worry, you only have to deal with this for another 23 months.....
I would try to be optimistic in your situation too if I was including these rebates with my products.
And yes it is a breach in their contract see attachment of the term no. 23 ( I highlighted some key points for you).
FYI, I would normally be more lenient on a company but for two good reasons I'm not:
1) The previous company that was "supposed" to issue these rebates couldn't follow through.
2) They have so many strict rules in their terms if you don't follow one correctly (ex. forget to submit a scan of your ID with registration) you are immediately disqualified. So if they want us to play by their rules I EXPECT them to play by their own rules.
Give me one good reason I should wait any longer? I would love to take it into consideration.

I didn't give out any of these to any clients. I gave out 33 of the "other" company's coupons out and have had nobody call to inquire about their rebate so I guess they didn't send them in. If/when they do, I'll either replace them with this program, if it works, or refund their 40.00 in cash or like services.
I also got an email telling me on track to get my 1st card in a few days and to continue the program.

Yes... they are in breach of contract...
I wouldn't have filed the complaint if they weren't running the promotion again when i've been waiting since February for the first $25 gift card...

You act like we want this to fail... I want it to be legit. But every day that goes by makes me more and more doubtful.

And jmreed97 - I agree with you and this was stated today in court. Our agreement was with Bassett and we did not receive our gas certificate and a copy of the Terms and Conditions until three weeks after purchasing our furniture.
Any update on the ruling??? If I don't receive my first gift card by Thursday of next week, I am going to file a small claims suit too.
