QUOTE(CZTT @ May 20 2005, 08:13 AM)
The other night at a high school band concert Ed Shapley, President of the Boosters, gave Mr. Gasesser a new golf cart as a gift (for his convenience in getting around the football stadiums and parade routes).  Does anybody KNOW (no spectualtion, please) who exactly paid for this gift?  How is it going to be transported to away competitions - on a trailer?  And, who will pay for that?  Considering all the controvery surrounding the music program right now, the timing of this gift wasn't very good.

View Post

Along with plenty of other parents, my parents contributed to buying the golf cart. NO!!! the band boosters didn't buy it!!! Just in case that's what some people are trying to imply. The is none of anyones business. It was a gesture that I think he should be able to enjoy on his own.

This whole thing is really starting to get on my nerves. Some parents, I swear to god have no life, and spend their petty existance just cooking up trouble so that they can solicite their bad vibes and ugly energy towards people to fuel their vandettas! I was personally mugged and stared down by this womans family the other night at the concert...I'm guessing because they know what I stand for and how strongly I do. I didn't want to saying anything with fear of a police report, lawsuit, or television interview against me. I just wish it would all go away. This program doesn't deserve this. Get a life.

We have a similiar problem with our high school band program. I was reading your site to find how it is being resolved. Why was an audit called for? What type of disclosure is provided monthly/yearly to the booster parents? Does the boosters have a current asset statement? I read the about gift to Mr. Gasessner. Is that cart an asset of your club, or belong personnally to Mr. Gasessner? (I am assuming Gasessner is the band director) I read the reference made to, I believe, Sherman Oaks payments. Is there documentation for Folsum's payments? Thanks for your help. Uninvolved

Stop trying to "bump" this topic up, it's dying for a reason... Let the law do it's thing and get over it... It sucks, we all know that, "bumping" topics is just plain silly.

This thread cracks me up....lot's of opinions and no real facts to backup the lynch mob mentality. The other interesting part is one-sided reports of what people have done without mentioning why it probably happened.

Hey PJ,
Maybe you getting "personally mugged and starred down the other night by this womans family the other night" had more to do with the police investigation regarding the obscene phone calls from your cell phone to the Kinsella's home on multiple occasions. Or should we leave that part out?

This thread is full of half-truths, half lies and little hidden agendas. Ever think that maybe there have been some very popular people caught with their hand in the cookie jar. That would explain all the support from this group that wants to lynch the whistle blower.

Please don't be shy northoftheriver. Educate us on all the half-truths and half-lies you are speaking of.

I have no hidden agenda. I have no children left in the music program. My only agenda is to protect the music program and make sure it is there for future students.

Let's hear some details. For example, how many parents have joined the class-action "complaint"? Better yet, what's your hidden agenda?

I don't see any facts to back this attack. Should we just ASSUME you are telling the truth.

Sorry I have an opinion... and it doesn't agree with yours!

So what is your agenda by just recently joining the board. Just to "call out" PJ. I didn't see one fact come out of your post... just attacks. Its like the pot calling the kettle black... now isn't it.

By the way... I also have no kids at all. Mine is just an opinion with no agenda behind it. I guess it just speaks volumes to today's society... you don't get you way... so its time to sue!

this person has every right to sue the school district. it's now up to the courts to decide....

Sorry, Yabyum, but disagreement doesn't equal lynch-mob mentality.

It's been my experience that when someone accuses another of "untruths," "half-truths" and the like without backing it up with facts to prove his or her claim, they are only doing so in a self-serving attempt to portray themselves as a victim.

You have every right to your opinion that this woman has the right to sue the school district, just as I and others have every right to our opinion that there were better ways to handle this.

To answer someone from above... it is safe to assume that maybe I speak the truth and maybe I don't about the police report and PJ's crank calls to the Kinsella home. I have noticed that PJ didn't care to respond and he certainly doesn't want to provoke getting it posted to this newsgroup for all to see the things he has done.

Back to my original post…..
-I commented on the mentality of this thread to lynch the whistleblower based on partial facts and that maybe some popular people in town have been caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Just a view that is obviously not a popular one but is feasible and I think time will show to be true.
-I added some information about the activities of someone rather vocal about the kinsella's.

OK....back to the masses to debate usa.gif

northoftheriver, your post still hasn't nailed down any facts. You accuse other posters of a lynch mentality, yet you accuse people you describe as "popular" of theft by your "hand in the cooke jar" comment. The music boosters aren't "poplular" in my view. They are dedicated volunteers whose thankless job has been made even more thankless by Ms. Kinsella's actions.

How about nailing down which "partial facts" you are referring to. Does Ms. Kinsella have a "feasible" gripe or a "real" gripe?

I personally do not know the facts of the case but was interested in the letter to the editor in today's Folsom Telegraph by Nancy Marshall. Anyone read it or care to comment?
