I always wonder
if on a scale from 1 - 5 where 5 is the best and 1 is the worst...
how does one give a -1 rating?

just call it 1 and everyone knows its like eating straight out of a garbage can

just my -2cents

I forgot to ask earlier.... is there anything else to do around that area while there? trying to figure out if I should take the misses out there early to check stuff out, or just go at night for dinner and back?

been looking at it for a while and of course its in my restaurants bookmark now (thanks again)

let's see, what to do, what to do...good guestion. its about three blocks from my office, so i always run over there on lunches. mostly the area is offices, residences and restaurants.

if i were going to drive down for fun, i would go see the grandma moses exhibit at the crocker and then swing in for an early dinner. or wait for a second saturday and hit some of the art galleries in the midtown area. there is also a kind of fun import store kitty-corner from aioli bodega. that's worth about 15 minutes of browsing. oh, maybe go tour the Stanford Mansion. that's worth doing.

i'll think some more on this and see if i come up with anything more clever.

Thank you for your comment.
-1 means da place should not exist.

Merely a personal rating.

hehehe that brings up possibilities for rating system consideration...

5 = food is outstanding, so good its better then sex
4 = food is very good, you'll really enjoy it
3 = food is good, you'd eat it again
2 = food is ok, but you won't recommend it
1 = food is bad, tasteless, yuck, tell others to run
-1 = food is pure garbage, call health authorities (gotta have something for the really bad places)

So, DavBurr, how about a list of all the Folsom restaurants you've been to that you'd give a 3 or higher for their food and service?

The Persian place on Greenback... my wife and I went there and the two entrees we had were okay to good, but the flavors in one of the chicken appetizers were excellent.

their eggplant appetizer is addictive. but i love the fresh flat bread they serve instead of bread, with butter, feta cheese, mint, basil and the ever present shaker of sumac. awesome!! that and the mint tea.
