These are parents trying to save their kids from the grips of the drug cartels

that essentially run much of the land to our south.
They face recruitment into a life of crime and violence or face the

wrath of the drug lords.

 

The best the U.S. can do is to help fight the corruption in these Latin countries.

That, and some way to reduce the demand for the drugs that so many Americans pay for.

I think we assume people are intelligent enough to hold a conversation and that they can back up what they post.

However I also think we've all seen the poster who throws things on the wall to see what sticks with no rationale behind the post... just seeing if they can push other people's buttons.

IMHO these people ruin the opportunity to have a dialogue... which is why most of us are here
