I'm still wondering what will happen to the old Century theatre on Iron Point.

What's wrong with the two we have (plus REI)? I suppose there is probably room for one more, paricularly in the east part of town, but it's a tough business, and yes, the rents are probably too high. Plus, being able to park close to the shop is usually an important consideration for bike shops.

I think I'm more excited to see Whole Foods. I could live (until the heart attack) in their cheese department.

I didn't even notice the theater. I wonder if it will be as nice as the one in Eldorado Hills?
Even people who live close to the Folsom theater drive to Eldorado Hills today.

I saw there is an Orvis going here, but only 3000 square feet. The Roseville one will be 13000!
As far as I know, there are still some design changes going on and the retailers won't sign leases until all approvals are completed and construction begins. I have heard some of the names for the Galleria expansion and those are some impressive names coming out.

cheese store....have you checked out EuroGourmet Deli by the kinkos in Folsom? OMG.....he has this smoked italian parmegiano that is incredible!! also, he just got in some stilton that is so creamy its almost like a brie. he's 10 X more knowledgable than any of the counter people I've met at any Whole Foods anywhere. he's also got himilayan pink rock salt right now and lots of great oils, vinegars, jams, etc.
also, if you like olives, his are better than any in town at $2 less a pound than safeway and/or raleys.
he has to have one of the best stores in Folsom. you walk in there and don't think much of it, until he starts giving you tastes of his products. then you find yourself saying, "i'll take a half pound of that."
you have been warned!

you have been warned!

I was in there on Sunday (he's back open on Sunday's again, with nice new tables too!) and he says business has been really slow lately.
I highly recommend everyone take a trip to Euro Gourmet! This is a great business with good product and prices, the kind of thing we really need to support!

Well it depends whether you are wanting names for the Fountains or the Galleria. I can't name some names, but ones that have been leaked for the Galleria are the Apple Store, Cheesecake Factory, and Tiffany & Co. Cheesecake Factory might end up in the Fountains, they are considering both. For the website for the $240 million expansion go to www.elevaterosevillesbest.com. For The Fountains, go to www.thefountainsatroseville.com for the signed names and there are lots of others that are in negotiations.

I'm going there tomorrow for my every-other-week stockup. I might have to bump it up to a weekly trip. Berkant is a wonderful person and I love, love, love his store!! Maybe we should have a MyFolsom meetup there? I'd hate to see this store gone.

He's stopped stocking all the yummy dips because he said the foot traffic just didn't justify making them and throwing most of it away

He'll still make them on special order, but no more popping in for some Tzatziki on the weekend.
