I was reading something today about all the searches for Sanjaya's sister. Sanjaya's got the buzz.

We don't love you, Sanjaya.

God almighty Sanjaya sucked last night....
and the judges weren't really nice about it... and I hope this is his last night on the show....
he's just too young and needs more development... but it looks like America is going to make this kid rich....
this year sucks over all... only 2 or 3 of this years crowd are worth a dang... it looks to me like last year had a much better crop of talent....
anybody else agree with me...?

Yes I totally agree. I think last year was one of the best. This year is awful and I have been Tivo-ing it and fast forwarding through parts so I dont have to be tortured. I hope next season is better.

I really just hope the joke is over and he goes home tonight. It was just horribly horribly bad.
Unfortunately, I think he's safe, and sadly, I'm afraid that Lakisha may actually be in danger.
I swear, if someone like Lakisha goes home, and Sanjaya stays this week, I can see Simon just getting up and storming off. I wouldn't blame him either.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY GIRL.
We could not be doing this without you.
Much love and gratitude.

I think the contestants this year bite compared to last year. Since last year was my first year, I can't really compare them to any other year. But perhaps the reason why I watched it last year was because they were all pretty darn good! I think that if this was my first year watching it, I wouldn't care. I don't even care too much that I miss it on volleyball night. I can just youtube the videos the next day.
Sanjaya is seriously such a joke. It's sad and infuriating. Lakisha is a much better singer, though I think she did very poorly last night. So did Chris.

I think they need to give Dolittle a record deal and get her off the show so the Kareoke contest can continue.

I agree, Lakisha sorta sucked last night. She was one of the best early on.
She can still sing, but Doolittle and Jordin Sparks are now clearly the ones to beat.
I'm thinking that its a given that Doolittle is the best and she'll get a record deal regardless if she wins or not.
I wouldn't be suprised to see her get the axe and Jordin winning. Every year there is a "shocker" and she'll likely be the victim. I could be wrong though *shrug*
To all you Freaks, don't stop the rock....

I wouldn't rule out Blake, however. In my mind's eye, the perfect ending of the season would have Blake, Melinda and Jordin in the final three with Jordin winning. I don't want to see either Blake or Melinda sing the crap that Clive Davis is putting out in his twilight years. Talk about someone who's off his game. "Do I Make You Proud?" What a piece of crap song!
I'd love to see what Blake and Melinda would both release without Davis. Jordin, on the other hand, is one damn good singer without a specific style. She'd do much better under Davis' wing than the other two.

I agree. The talent pool is shallow this season. I remember last season that around 6 or 7 remaining contestants, I felt that all were good, hated to see any go, and would be happy if any of them won.
Jordin, Blake and Melinda are the only ones in that category this year. Even Lakisha has lost her shine the past few weeks. Personally, I think Jordin and Blake are the most marketable and will have the chart-topping careers. Melinda will be very successful in the Tina Turner, I rule the stage, R&B diva genre. Alien was actually pretty good last night. I hate country, but he might have a career in it regardless of the AI outcome.
The Sanjaya situation needs some executive producer intervention. This is ridiculous.

I agree! And I was glad Simon FINALLY said something about the Sanjaya joke. About how it should get back to the point of the show now and find a TRUE star. I just can't believe that Stern and votefortheworst has THAT much pull on America! They really need to change the voting system to only allow ONE vote for each contestant per viewer. The executives really need to do something, I swear they are losing more and more viewers each week. The show is becoming just a big joke. Sad times.

I still think that American Idol should have the fans vote for the worst singer each week. That way different groups of people would not be voting for the one they think is the best. Most of the votes would go to what most people think is the worst. I think that would work a lot better. Or like was just said, just allow one vote but I don't know how they would control that.
A VETERAN
Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life".
That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
