I guess the good thing about the mall is the road going thru it is a great shortcut from Broadstone Pkwy to Iron Point. I think most people have no idea it actually goes thru.

Yes, it is open. We have been cutting through there for awhile now.
Can't wait until we get the new theater opened.

I've talked to the owner (Cinema West) and they are shooting to open on December 11th, 2009... we'll see, it's going to be tight. I'm selling products to them and have been on the jobsite often and think that the theater will be a success. All rooms will have stadium seating and digital projectors versus analog which should give it a picture and sound quality advantage over El Dorado Hills. Barnes & Noble and Whole Foods are slated to open next year.

I only know of one movie theater in Folsom and that is across from the Folsom outlets. When the one in Palladio opens that is two. Where is the third?

I think he/she was referring to EDH.
I honestly think the Palladio theatre will be the death of Century.
I can only dream that someone will turn it into an Alamo Drafthouse:

Mylo, I agree, Century will be gone. It has been a mess for quite some time now. We quit going there after the one in EDH opened.

Wouldn't it be better for Folsom to get the revenue from a theater here, than to lose it to the one in El Dorado Hills?
My husband and I haven't gone to the Folsom Century in years, because of the filthy way they keep it. It has been so sad to see this perfectly good theater go to waste here in Folsom. The only alternative has been to go to the theater in El Dorado Hills.
I will be glad when there are other theaters like the one at Bradshaw, so those in that community will have their own. There is never enough competition in business, in my opinion. When competition isn't there, consumers lose.

Funny, my wife always wants to go to Century just because of their popcorn, but I think it's because they have a Kettle Corn or equivalent. Half the time I can't convince her that stadium seating and better video and sound outweighs the popcorn. It would be nice if Palladio had both

I hope the scaled down store still has a fresh seafood counter - I recently went to a seafood cooking class at the Kitchen Academy, and the chef there recommended Whole Foods as a place to buy fresh seafood.
