As you can imagine, most of the restaurants have already been announced. There is one notable downtown restaurant that has signed a letter of intent, but I cannot release the name. I'll just give the hint that's it's an Irish Pub, but that's it.

No Paesano's.

We could use a Fox and Goose up here. That would be awesome.

There's like 4 of them that I can tell in downtown (de Vere's, O' Mally's, Gallagher's and Fox & Goose).
I'm wondering if it is the Fox & Goose....you didn't respond to FolsomEJ inquiring about it yet....is it the Fox and Goose?
OR de Vere's which seems to be very highly rated also.....

Fox and Goose is an English pub, so that is likely not it. The only "notable" Irish pub on your list is probably De Vere's. Based on the lines at that place on weekends, they can certainly afford an expansion, but Folsom seems like a different environment than downtown Sac.

Has Greg Rhategan or Raymond Matteson from The Market at Pavillions (previously known as David Berkley Fine Wines & Specialty Foods) been contacted to come to Folsom?
They closed on July 1.
While I loved David Berkeley when David was still there, I was NOT at all impressed with the new owners. I gave them 2 tries.... never went back. Too bad David isn't still around. The new owners destroyed in 2 years what had been a wonderful and thriving business for close to 25 years (and thru previous recessions).

What about Buca di Beppo's?
Buca di Beppo would be AWESOME!

Yes, it's De Vere's; however, they're only at a letter of intent which is nothing. They are far from signing still, so nothing is for sure.

I wasn't impressed either with the new store either, as their inventory & selection significantly decreased. I did not realize the new owners were an issue, until I read the on-line comments associated with the SacBee article. While I loved David Berkeley when David was still there, I was NOT at all impressed with the new owners. Nothing on Buca di Beppo.

Thanks ericm. It's a lot of fun guessing. It kinda reminds me of the old days working in ER...guessing diagnosies before the ER MD got to the patient.
