Like most public meetings, Council meetings are governed by law. Most of them are required to follow Robert's Rules of Order and the order of the meeting items is not optional. Under Robert's Rules of Order, NEW BUSINESS comes last (except for Council comments). This Tuesday and the last time you complained about this, both of the items you were interested in were NEW BUSINESS. If the council had moved your items out of order, to take them earlier in the evening, even if it were legal, would that have been fair to the others who were waiting for their items to be heard who then got pushed to later? The veterans and the Lions aren't the only old people in town who want to go home and go to sleep. Why are you so important that the Council should unfairly, if not actually illegally, manipulate its "established order of business" to give you guys favoritism at the expense of others?
You can look this up, by the way, in a place called "the library."

Most of the long time residents know it but many of the newer residents, like me, have had to learn the older, as well as newer, street names and places.
It helps to clarify statements.

You won't need to worry about late meetings. It doesn't bother me as I can still
get out and about very well. I am thinking of other older people when I speak.

To annierose, who is "you people"? If you are referring to the Lions, Veterans, and or our supporters, we will be pleased to give you names so that you don't confuse us with the disgruntled crowd when you refer to "you people."
To Candy Apple. I am pleased to see that your typing fingers are still working. Please know that in spite of your position on the library siting, the Lions and the Veterans have absolute respect for your community involvement and if we can ever assist you in any way, you need only ask.

The meetings are at 7:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall at the end of Forrest
Thank you Candy.... for your apology
and I would extend that invitation to you and Annirose
We will not fight with you at the meeting, nor will we permit tape recorders but we will discuss our views with you - I trust that you will be surprised at the range of people involved in this recall.
As I indicated previously - if you are unable to attend the meeting of the cc on Tuesday night with regard to the changes to Station house 35
please email our cc with your opinions on this subject - also feel free to write to the the Folsom Telegraph
for Miklos it is- themayor@folsom.ca.us
for King it is - eric@ericking.org
for Morin it is - andy@themorins.com
and last but not .....
Starsky - jstarsky@folsom.ca.us
make your voice heard - you have this opportunity
Also Farley - thank you for your words on trafic - I live on Wales behind the BLM and believe me the traffic is so bad at times I have to go down Wales to Glenn to Folsom Blvd. back to Folsom-Auburn Blvd.
a former 5 minute trip is now 15 or more minutes in the am and evening
and when I pick kids up from the jr. high - it can be 45 minutes over the bridge and back
the traffic situation has to be worked on and that doesn't mean adding to it!!!
look at these cc spending a 1/4 of a million on lobbying for the Folsom Dam, excessive funds on the library for the plans and enviromental - and there is no resolution - because they say so - I don't like the spend spend spend

You are not talking for all the decorated veterans in Folsom.
I, for one, do not back the recall.
