To each his own, of course, but that is waaaayyyy too pink for me. I like it juicy but brown. It can be done.
Speaking of other burger joints... I used to really like Dairy Queen burgers. Also Chili's - although I don't think they are as big and juicy as they used to be.

I just got back from an east coast jaunt and stopped by a Billy Goat Tavern, you know the place from the SNL skit.
While not gourmet, the "Borger" really wasn't too bad and the atmosphere was great. I'm thinking if the someone spent a few hundred dollars refurbishing the "Big Dip" and opened it up as a Billy Goat, It would be an instant success!
Which Billy Goat did you go to? The original under Michigan Ave? It would be impossible to replicate that place; you'd need Mike Royoko, Irv Kupcinet and a bunch of other newspaper hounds to fill the place with smoke and stories. I love that place!

I'll be going to the one on E. Bidwell - but to save Mylo the gas money to drive all the way into Folsom - perhaps we can make this one an independent study and we'll report our findings here later

I just checked my schedule for today and realized I have a conflict. You can do it without me or we can do it tomorrow.
