It should be "our" problem as a society. Lets teach our kids to eat right people!

Hear that mylo? My obesity is now your problem! Also I can blame my parents, which is a popular thing to do when you don't want to blame yourself.

This has got to be Obama's fault, somehow.

Did you know that SPAM is incredibly popular in Hawaii?

I am truly amazed that everyone is going crazy over a fast food joint. This is the reason America is obese and unhealthy. People are willing to wait in long lines, fight traffic and feed their KIDS crap, sorry but somebody had to say it....

All along I thought it was because I didn't exercise enough for the calories I consumed but really appreciate that I can now shift that burden or blame to you is awesome.

Thanks for taking one for the team.

Yeah, because I feed my kids fast food for every meal. rolleyes.gif

A few junk food meals a month do not make obese kids. I bet juice consumption is a bigger problem than In-n-Out. Also, if you're gonna pick fast food, this is the best.

You are all validating my point.Just look at some of the posts, the place has been open less than a week and people have eaten there 2 or 3 times. And i agree with you most of the juice places serve crap! People lets teach our kids how to eat right!

It's not where you eat, but how often you go, what you choose from the menu and how much of it you eat.

I could lose weight eating 1 meal a day each day from one of the following fast food places for a month.

McDonald's
Wendys
Taco Bell
In-n-Out
Burger King

I could gain weight eating every meal at home.

Honestly, I think the bigger problem is the inactivity. Kids can't go anywhere without their gameboys, they watch DVDs in the car, at a restaurant, at home all day. Kids are lazy. They just sit and do nothing physical. Parents are so happy when they get the wii, because it's a video game that keeps the kids active. It's truly ridiculous. I think we are the only family in Folsom who doesn't have any video games (much to my daughter's horror).

To just jump to the conclusion that fast food is the cause of today's problems is way too....simple. These days kids are eating just as much crap at home - soda, juice, nuggets, etc.

We stopped eating fast food (except In-n-Out maybe once a month), about 2 1/2 years ago. I did not lose an ounce. The obesity problem is so much greater than one little thing!

FWIW, I do agree that kids are not learning good eating habits, but I don't see the blame being placed so heavily on fast food places.

Be warned - fast food consumption is going to shoot up in this economy. Where else can you eat as cheaply as at Taco Bell and McD's?

Are you serious? Go to the store and cook something healthy! This is my whole point. People rather go to taco bell/mcD instead of cooking. grrrrrrrr sad.gif
