I have no idea which Staff member Robert is talking to that does not remember the RFP, but it was sent out to 3 firms - which I confirmed with the City Attorney.

3 FIRMS? Why wasn't EVERBODY allowed to bid? Isn't that what an RFP is giving everyone an equal chance to bid and maybe driving up the price of that we the citizens get for the sale of that land.

This is so typical of you playing sematics....there was no published RFP where everyone gets the chance to bid. Probably explains why certain people and businesses did NOT get returned phone calls!

I am frankly saddened by the lack of respect and hostility being tossed about in this topic posting. There must be a specific issue that is frustrating the individuals who have been lambasting Kerri in the last month or so, the two most vocal being Ernie Sheldon and Robert Giaccometti. What pending or current issue is at stake that is driving this negativity?

Robert's previous posting listed a few specific issues that have caught his attention, but watching even a single city council meeting provides a little insight into the thousands of issues that must have been before Kerri during her years on council. I do not have a clue about the particulars of Robert's complaints, but even if they are true, they seem minor to me.

Our council people have fulltime lives and jobs, in addition to serving on council. I, for one, would not be willing to make the kind of sacriice that is required to be a politician, part-time or otherwise. From everything I've seen about Kerri's decisions and actions over the years, she's been an honest and dedicated public leader. She hasn't profited by selling land she owned to the city or getting city contracts for office supplies or receiving kickbacks or clients based on her work as a councilwoman. If she is so inclined to give up even two more years of her own life to serve the City of Folsom, then she should be respected for that.

Rather than personally attack someone, why not take a public stand on who would be a better choice and make your argument based on that. There is enough worry, turmoil, and hate mongering in our world and national news these days without fomenting it in our own community.

Robert - get over it - OK ? ? So Kerri all by herself only allowed 3 firms to bid-- Hmmmm- sounds illogical to me - what about the other guys ? why are you not asking the same questions to them ?

And if it matters that much to you - get down to city hall and chew then all out during session... You are sounding like a broken record lately...

You have such a hate ( as is obvious in your posts) for Kerri that you seem to think SHE was the cause of all the issues that you have listed- when in reality she is one voice in the council... ( and a good one at that ) ...

Maybe you could better spend a little time and effort on the 'wonder boy' and his methods and suggest to us how this person, who is knowingly flaunting the law on his sign blitz will be an upstanding member of the council... and a good choice for the council--- I would personally vote for what you seem is the (censored) of the council over this wannabe cretin... at least she is honest and has the cities welfare on her mind ...

Think about it ...

You know what really sucks ? code enforcement in FOLSOM will take down the signs- but not fine the repeat offenders ( as they would if you left your RV out on the street) and will NOT destroy the signs - but hold them for the candidates to pick up after the elections--

Maybe Kerri can get a motion and a new law to change that .... or is there something the rest of us can do to change this ./???

I hope that the candidates have more important things on their agenda if elected than dealing with personal issues like who has a sign here and who has a sign there. Really, can't you think of something more important for the candidates to worry about?

There sure are more important things- and THIS is NOT a personal issue it is one of a candidate who chooses to scoff the laws knowingly and then wants to get elected as an honest and decent person to represent Folsom...
I say it tells us a whole lot about this particular candidate and adds to other reasons to NOT Vote for Gordon...

It is so ironic that I wrote a letter about Kerri making inapproriate comments while at council meetings and you twist it into that I'm lambasting Kerri. The reality is I am only reporting her comments!:D:

Is it OK for Kerri to make inappropriate comments towards citizens while serving on the council?

Its also sad that some here can read Kerri's post telling me NOt to be running my city council camapaign on a public forum and then turn around and do it herself. Then she indicates my motives are evil, yet when I come to her defense when she is unfairly called anti-kids...I get labled as HATING her.

I know its an impossible goal of mine to try and use logic and facts to educate citizens while others are using emotion....but I am optimistic that most of my neighbors here in Folsom won't let their personal bias & prejudices affect making an informed choice about the elected leadership in of our community.

Given the twisted thinking I witness here......it does cause me concerns.

While there may be more important things on their agenda, I'm pretty disappointed by a candidate knowingly breaking the laws to benefit themselves. It doesn't set a good precedent, IMHO.

cw,

Can I assume you feel that way towards all candidates?

Since I've been through some of these elections for about 17 years, I've learned a few things and after hearing certain candidates preach about this for awhile....I have kept my digital camera around to remind me....I'll try and find that disk.
