Well until the show shuts it down that is what you have to do to help them win.

One of the shows that I just call in to shuts you off after 5 votes from any one phone. That is what they should do on idol. The problem is, the American Idol and the network wants to have the millions of calls so they can brag about how many calls they receive. So they will never limit them.

Go TAYLOR !!!!!

And, YES, I will vote a couple hundred times next time too...
A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

Cripes Camay 250 votes?- you're the reason I couldn't get thru at all when trying to call...... for Taylor, but it sounds like you had it covered for me, CW68 and just about everyone else here who liked Taylor

...but I have to agree with Eric, it does kinda seem to make the show a farce when voting is done like that - it should be only one vote per household

No doubt, now next week I will have to vote 250+ times for McPheever to offset Camay's 250+ votes for Taylor. Camay, next week just don't vote and neither will I. Then the end result will be the same. sun.gif

OK. I admit it. I tried the program that dialidol has to offer. The problem for me is that my modem dials sooooooo much slower than I can do with my fingers using redial, that it's not worth it, and I don't know if my votes are really getting counted.

The last two weeks, I've voted steadily using my phone for an entire hour. 2 wks ago, probably got through about 200-250 times.....Tuesday night this week, I may have only gotten through about 150 times total, because the lines were insanely busy. I tried again at about 10:30, and was getting through every time, so I voted for about 10 minutes during that timeframe.

The votes, percentage-wise, were so close. They had 50 million votes, so 1 percentage point = ~500,000 votes. The difference between the top and bottom was .5 percent (~250,000 votes), and the difference between the bottom two was .1 percent (~50,000 votes).

It should be a great finale.....
I assume full responsibility for my actions, except the ones that are someone else's fault.

they did a nice show tonite

I thought Paula was gonna cry when Elliot got da boot

really tho its not like he lost anything, they're doing the CD, tours and such so his career is off to a healthy start regardless of the outcome

Taylor all the way next week!

Hey, I thought you liked McPhee! Have you seen the light?

OK people, maybe I'll actually vote next week.

One vote per household, though, wouldn't work. My husband and kids watch it too. What if we don't agree? (Though we all did like Chris. My husband protested and mowed the lawn during Idol Tuesday. But he did watch the 2nd half.)

I do like McPhee - she's got a really fantastic voice - however she is trying too hard to be some kinda sultry sexy singer and she seems to be focusing too much on the sultry part and not enuf on the singing part

she needs to do just like she did with the rainbow song - JUST SING! she needs to stop trying to be someone she's not - she's not Mariah Carey, she's not Whitney Houston, she's not a diva - she needs to stop that and just focus on singing - she's a really great singer - she just needs better focus

Now Taylor - he has been entirely his true self since day one - I still remember after the auditions how he came into the room with the judges to either be picked or thrown out and the dude waltzes in playing the harmonica - that guy seems to genuinely love the music and thats the kinda passion that comes thru in a voice that can sell albums.

Taylor may be a bad dancer (me too) but he can sing and he has the passion for it. His rendition of 'You are so beautiful' was spectacular, moving and very outstanding - thats the kinda music I would go out and buy - I can't wait to hear more from him

it should be a great finale next week but I think taylors won it already

That was probably the coolest thing anyone has ever done on AI. I loved that. I think Taylor is great, I would go watch him in concert but I don't know if I would buy an album. He is not as good a singer as he is a performer (he sings very good, but not great). His performances are great.
McPheever's performances are great and her singing is great. Yea, she is trying some sexy stuff but I think she is just trying stuff on for comfort. I do wish she would have sung somewhere over the rainbow standing up. She will find her nitch - she is young. I am rooting for McPheever but I won't be unhappy in the least if Taylor wins. I haven't voted yet, but I might next week.

I gave Taylor over 250 votes last night while watching Boston Legal.

Boston Legal ROCKS.....

I can never get through to vote that many times. Even last night when each idol had 3 lines to call a piece i didn't get through one time. I think the most I was ever able to get through was 3 times. Speed dial and everything.

Taylor all the way.

I did see a car here in Sac that had all over it written "Vote for McPhee" and "I have McPheever" lmaosmiley.gif

You know how AT&T used to have text messeging on their website. I wonder if Cingular would let you just text message as many times as you want to off their website?

But don't you pay for each text msg?

If you send it from your phone and don't have unlimited text messaging yes, but it used to be that you could send a message from the website for free. I don't know if they still have that.

I couldn't have said any of this better myself, especially about McPhee. I actually really liked her from the beginnning, but a few weeks ago, it's like she started getting caught up in all the hype and now I think she's acting like a pouty whiney little brat. She has a fantastic voice....it's too bad she's trying to be someone she's not. Unfortunately she's lost my votes, I think she's a little too high on herself now....it's Taylor for me now (I really wanted Chris to win), just for the reason Dave said....he's remained true to himself the whole competition (and I especially love all the little "WOO!"s he throws in his performances! laugh.gif )

You are exactly right, erfam. I thought Wednesday's show put McPhee in a very poor light.

First, she kept noting pointedly how she didn't get the big turn-out and parade when she went back to Sherman Oaks. Sounded like sour grapes to me.

Then she remarked that she doesn't get together with her family too much. (BTW, I noticed they seem to have a pretty tony home).

--Compare this to sweet Elliot, who takes his mom with him every place and just seems very sweet, sincere, and down-to-earth. I think the wrong person got voted off.

Did you happen to catch McPhee's Mom when they announced that Elliott was going home? The woman had a huge smile on her face as she was celebrating the fact that Katherine wasn't going home. What a bit**.

I was more bothered by her recent snittiness whenever the judges critiqued her.
