I got a speeding ticket for going 65 (back when the limit was 55), even though I was going with the traffic. I also got a ticket for going 60 in a 55 zone when I had a car tailing me with their highbeams, with a car to my right, so I had to speed up to 60 to pass the car on the right. Apparently, I should have slowed to 50 to go behind the car to my right. BTW, the car tailing me was a cop - who ticketed me. GALT!!!!!!

My whole point is that it really is never okay with law enforcement to go over the speed limit. When I fought the Galt ticket, the judge said, "so you admit you were going 60?" I said, "yes, but the car behind me was tailing me and I was scared." The judge then stated, "So, you have admitted you were going 60 in a 55 zone." Case closed.

Galt is a semi-third-world-country, so I'm not surprised in the least. But that is kinda bogus. Now if you were doing 60 in a 55 while in a heavy downpour, now that's a tiger of a different spot...or something like that.

I was at the stop sign, ready to turn left on Iron Point and waiting for traffic to clear.

A large pickup was coming down the hill, slowing and signaling for a right turn.

Foolishly, I pulled out across the lane only to discover a smaller faster car coming down the hill behind him, switching lanes to go around him as he made his turn.

I coulda been a statistic.

I repeat....... it should be a right turn only, except at lights.... That is a crazy part of that street... no matter how well you drive!

Well, Coffee is like chocolate. If you like tall, dark handsome men then you go for Peets.

If you like rich, creamy lattes generic drinking kind of men--you go to Starbucks.

If you like crusty, down to earth, hard working men--you go to McDonalds.

If you like men to look like gods, treat you like a goddess and never have to worry about anything---You make your own damn coffee.
