It's small and as said earlier packed with people. Not my type of place.

Twas good meeting you too.
He was definitely in his 60's. Didn't he have a cane or was I imagining that? The ripped jeans he was wearing were personal favorites of mine, but was the sweatshirt Hurley or Hollister? Kids these days, you'd think they'd dress a little better.
I put a bet on what kind of car the girl would get in when she left.....shockingly I won when she got into her brand new Mercedes.
Don't you just love people watching?

Hahahah that doesn't surprise me about that girl, she looked like a serious gold digger.. and I fully agree, people watching is a entertaining sometimes
to DarthGrumpy: we didn't get hit on, personally I'm married and would just give 'em the hand anyways, but give us some credit will ya, we're not bimbo bait
to Chris V: if you like BJ's and can deal with those crowds, you'd love Manderes, its smaller, mellower, and much better by comparison

I agree. I just don't have the patience anymore for standing in lines or sitting around waiting with a bunch of stupid people. Yes, I have issues.

Naw you don't have issues dude - I completely understand and I hate that too - in fact I will leave a place if I have to wait any longer then 5 minutes to get in (I have zero patience for long lines at restaurants - especially when there are so many other choices nearby)
thats why I don't like going to BJ's much anymore, I can't stand that its so crowded all the time and if you're not there before 5pm - there is always a long wait and its not worth it.
On the flipside - Manderes is not like that...its very nice - the event the other night is not how it is there all the time
You can almost always walk in and find it nice and mellow inside - no big crowds and not full of stupid people - course keep in mind if you're there late (10ish) there may be some people getting drunk by then...

I actually think Manderes is great and not that crowded. I can't stand places where I feel confined or if perfect strangers are pushed up against me. Even on Wednesday there was no one hovering around the bar, everyone was seated. I thought it was great.

Well, it is an odd set up/location, especially with the bathrooms outside and tiny kitchen. With all the vacant commercial space (and maybe more coming), they may be in a good position to pick and choose a better building/location when their lease expires...(that is if business continues to thrive)...who knows. Also, I wouldn't mind if they had some domestic beers. Not alot, just some.

They have plenty of domestic beers. Do you mean cheap domestic beers?
