What's wrong with it? Besides, ornate churches glorify what man can build instead of what God can do.

flag.gif Where can one in Folsom who objects to the building of the Mosque for moral reasons or any other reason be heard? Where can a good conservative thinker protest the construction and infiltration? No matter how you may view the presence of Muslim people in this country, I have not yet heard one condemn the acts of terrorism against western civilization. This would make them the enemy and no less.

My husband and I are with you. Have you had any luck protesting? We received a flyer stating that it indeed will be built on the corner of Sibley and Levy. It is huge! It is going to cause more congestion and architecturally does not blend in with the surroundings. Aren't there codes in Folsom for building such a monstrosity?

I guess the responses in this thread pretty much answer that question I had about opening a Church of Satan in Folsom...

It will indeed be built and Folsom will be a better town for it, you can protest elsewhere, just make sure you don't do it in the streets, my brakes are somewhat faulty.

I wonder what would happen if The Metropolitan Community Church came to Folsom. It is an international church open to everyone, but is primarily known as a gay church. There is one located in Sacramento and has been for years.

Please join the residents in the Folsom Ridgeview Community in a petition to stop the approved plans to build an Islamic Mosque on the vacant lot on Sibley Street at the intersection of Levy. The plan is for a 70 ft. building with a 60 foot dome that will only accommodate 131 parking spaces that is intended to serve approx. 300 people. The noise and traffic will be detrimental to residents in the immediate area.

This has nothing to do with terrorism or personal beliefs. The proposed location is not conducive for any type of church and would have the same impact in terms of traffic and noise.

Ha! While I'm not opposed to a mosque, I'm glad there will be a voice for those who are.

The concern over the Islamic Mosque is not a personal one regarding Islamic people. I would have the same concern if there was a proposal for any church in that specific area, due to the impact of noise and traffic on such a small area.
