Yes it is. They have too little seating and they have this patio idea that I'm suspicious of. Also I bet they wish they had a bigger kitchen.

Seriously, I hope they make enough to move.

suspicious of the patio? I think thats a great idea for summer time

I think that location is great - that part of town has needed a nice place like that - I don't want everything crammed into the E. Bidwell/hwy 50 area - there's too much stuff there already - we need good places on this side of town and that location is very good - no need to move

Well, it is an odd set up/location, especially with the bathrooms outside and tiny kitchen. With all the vacant commercial space (and maybe more coming), they may be in a good position to pick and choose a better building/location when their lease expires...(that is if business continues to thrive)...who knows. Also, I wouldn't mind if they had some domestic beers. Not alot, just some.

every other place in town sells the cheap domestic stuff - thats what makes manderes unique - they have specialty beers you don't usually find at every other watering hole

When I first talked to brent after they were opem for 1 day, he had mentioned to me that they also looked at the closed down Chinese Rest. that was once Liues? bad spelling ! on Blue Ravin and Folsom Blvd. but the property owners wanted way to much money for the location as well as lousy parking

Hehehe I bet a lot of guys do like the attention..... but being I'm a happily married older dude, it means nothing.... I've already got a hotty and I'm set for life.

EDF woulda been in heaven - heck I almost thought that guy we saw was him hehe (ducking)

Okay, we went there tonight, but we didn't stay. It was LOUD! We were almost yelling to each other. We had a couple drinks then left. I think we are going to go back for lunch.

Since it was a date night, we were hoping for someplace a little bit quieter. After the night ended, we were wishing we would have stayed at Manderes. sad.gif We tried The Ravine, but it was closed for a private party. Then we went to Folsom Bistro, and paid way too much for tough steak and french fries.

Went there last night after a stogie at Streets of London. I was impressed. The place still isn't much to look at outside, but it's gorgeous inside. Tried the angus burger. Damn good with a great price, heck it even comes with two sides. The Slaw rocks!

I'll be back. Can't wait until they have the patio outside. Might be my new stogie spot!
We all dream of a world of sunshine and rainbows and peace. The problem is some people think this would be a great place to live, while others think it would be a great place to pillage.

Wow!!!! What a fantastic little hideaway!!!! Hubby took me to the doc this morning and we stopped by for lunch.......I believe about six or seven of you "folsomite" boys were parked at the end of the bar. rolleyes.gif

We talked with Brent (what a nice guy).....and Paul, the chef (I beieve) Also I nice guy....

We'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack (not with Arnold, since there's no cigar-smoking allowed...and there's no tent in the parking lot)!! But it was really a fun little dining experience...food was really incredible (for bar food) and the staff (as well as the clientele) were exceptional.

Thanks to Brent and Dave for bringing something good, fun and refreshing to Folsom.
