I also agree. The show was blah, and those songs they wrote for them to release, double-blah. Katherine's song was in a key that was wayyyyyyy too low for her, and consequently, she stunk on it. Taylor managed to at least put himself into the song, so that it wasn't as bad, although the lyrics stunk. Way to go Taylor!

He needs to lose that purple velvet jacket, tho.....

Tonite's finale is 2 hours loooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg. How on earth are they going to fill 2 hours and keep us awake till the end? Of course, we'll have to suffer through their "new" songs again. Sounds like a good time to do the laundry..... whistle.gif

Oh, and one other thought... Why, oh why, do they ALWAYS have a choir singing with them on their 'soon to be released' singles? I had a hard time hearing them over the choir a good part of the time. Overkill. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

What an anti-climatic almost finale. Pop music bites, and the proof is the songs that they are releasing as singles. Clive Davis, you should know better! At least you should know better writers and lyricists!

Yeah, I can't believe that with all the recources and connections of American Idol, those were the best songs they could get their hands on.

Where are the decent songwriters in America???

Well I got in 308 votes for Taylor. Pretty slow voting the first hour but speeded up the 2nd and 3rd hour. The last hour of voting, I gave it to my wife and she also got in about 300 votes for Taylor. So hope he wins. I feel he is the best of the two. He has been singing for years now and I would go and see him in concert if he came around here. I may not purchase his CD's, but he is a good performer.

I had a lot of trouble getting through the first hour.....probably only got 6 votes in during that time period. I gave up for a short time, then tried again about 10:30......managed to vote around 100 times till 11:00. Then did some more as I was in bed watching the news...probably about 50 more before I realized I had nodded off in the middle of dialing....... I was done.

Sounds like camay2327 made up for the votes I wanted to get through........good teamwork!!! whistle.gif

geeze, I guess I am the only McPheever fan!

Based on looks, I don't think you're alone  Too bad for her that the contest is a singing one. She has a great voice, but I don't think she is all that great when singing a variety of songs. I thought she mutilated her new single. Way too screachy! I think she has slipped by when her performances the past few weeks have not been very good... with the excepion of "Over The Rainbow"... but are you going to buy a CD of that?

Wow, that is quite the picture. She is very beautiful.

Not to be catty, but does everyone think that all parts of McPheever are, um... natural??

I vote yes. Back in the first few weeks, she seemed to had forgotten a critical supportive piece of clothing when she packed for the trip... I've been calling her McJiggly all season...

That sucked, how boring! That was not a great episode

Agreed! That was lame! Thank <your deity here> for DVR! I zipped through it pretty quickly. Very disappointing. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Who's winning the comedy and model portion? What about the dancers?

What? American Idol doesn't do that. What a rip-off!

Hey, I voted one time for Taylor. My first -- and only -- Idol vote. I'm sure it will make the difference. laugh.gif

Even if he does win, you still lose... what a waste of time....
