Hmmm Aren't these hearings behind closed doors? Aren't republicans on relevant committees prevented from being in the hearings?

Do your homework, Joe.
Each committee has both Dem and Rep members, although the Dems chair the committees.
The 27 Republicans on the various panels have the power to ask questions and report their findings
to the full Republican party membership.
Makes that political theater, the stunt of storming one of the meetings even more senseless.

The whistleblower whose complaint launched impeachment proceedings against President Trump is unlikely to testify to Congress, as talks have ceased between his legal team and committee leaders....
A source familiar with the discussions told the Washington Examiner that talks halted over potential testimony from the whistleblower and there is no discussion of testimony from a second whistleblower, who supported the first’s claims.
“There is no indication that either of the original whistleblowers will be called to testify or appear before the Senate or House Intelligence committees. There is no further discussion ongoing between the legal team and the committees,” the person said.
Huh. Imagine that. Once they will be subject to cross examination, they decide, wellllll, maybe what I heard thirdhand isn't something worth putting my name to.... WHAT....A...s---SHOW (or in other words):

You are ignoring the most important fact though, Joe.
Trump abused his power.
Your argument is like saying Linda Tripp didn't fill out the forms properly in
her accusations of Monica Lewinsky,
and therefore Clinton should not be impeached.

We have never put a president on trial for endangering national security, but this will be an undercurrent in the abuse of power accusation against Trump.
Trump will be charged with all of those things, and rightly so. But it should shock us, if we are still capable of shock at all, that he engaged in these impeachable acts as a way of placing his own interests above the national interest.

Presidential candidate Andrew Yang warned dumb Democrats that trying to impeach President Trump (which is futile because there's no evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever) will allow the president to dominate the news cycles and prevent Democrats from presenting a “positive vision” of America that voters can rally around in 2020, and therefore will guarantee another landslide win for Trump.
