Still haven't seen an answer to this puzzling question....? 'Splain, please? Glad my question invited discussion about a sushi outing (I'd like to maybe join you, if you allow newbies), but I am making up all kinds of horrendous stories in my head about restaurant or patron misbehavior... would like the real story!

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in.
And then the trouble started.

I think I'm the one that used the word "banned" WRT Tokyo Sushi. Namely, because I walked in there and it *wreaked* of fish. That equates to rotting, to me. AKA, not fresh. We walked out.
They also do sushi boats and all you can eat specials, all tactics for getting rid of old fish quickly.

had the same experience there too..... good fresh fish does NOT smell fishy.... that was a bad sign. Only went there once and that was enuf, especially with so many other better sushi places in town..
