According to the lady who represented Bassett Furniture in our court case against them, they purchased their third set of vouchers from MyFreeTravel ... not accepted them at no charge ... they purchased them. And then MyFreeTravel charged money to voucher holders to register them. I would have thought that by now they would have had at least enough money to send out one month's gift cards.

I think you meant to say defunct ... which is what MyFreeTravel will become if they don't start fulfilling their obligations. And while patience might be a virture I don't think it applies here. False advertising is a crime and the companies continuing to pass out these bogus certificates should be prosecuted.

Yes the companies that hand out these vouchers do pay for them, but nowhere near the face value of the voucher. The service fee MFT charges is a refunded $10 if you regestired online, otherwise its like a $5 processing fee if you registered through the mail.

When I bought mine to give out to customers, I paid 25.00 each for them. I'm sure Beck's paid less than that with their huge volume.

They run these programs with the expectations of only 50% registering and 25% following through with it. Just like the cell phone companies when they give out rebates, they don't expect everyone to do it. I bought a three piece sectional and a dinning set back in april from Beck's Furniture. I was offered the voucher. I read the infomation they had on it. I'm part of the percentage that didn't do it.

Do the math. If your numbers are right, they lose a lot of money. If 25% follow through, they would pay out $125 on average for each $500 voucher given out.

You are just throwing around made up percentages. Do you have any references to go with your pile of BS?

If you didn't apply for the rebates why are you even reading these forums?

Horray Myfreetravel it is Nov. 1st 2009 and you managed to lie again, keep up the good work! Maybe we will all get our visa cards "next month" (and I still don't care what your excuse is).

The above number didn't work...

I called an alternate number 610-620-1866 and found Pouls in the directory. I left him a message, we shall see if he returns my call.

Jmreed97, I tried calling this number today but it is not in service anymore.

+1. I can't believe this SacDJ guy is pretty much defending these people when he himself hasn't even received a card yet!?!?! Maybe the person who keeps telling him that it's "in the mial" was wearing a nice suit so therefore that makes it legit. Or as long as they spend the money they scammed off him on their family, then that makes it all ok too...

Hey SacDJ, I'm wearning a nice suit right now and have a bridge I want to sell ya! Just send me $100,000 and I'll mail you the deed....I promise. If you haven't received it in 8-10 months, just keep waiting ok?
