Leftism in  nutshell. Take one behavior (bristling at government infringement") Create a strawman based on zero evidence "(Yet I suspect you applaud")  Then create a question based on said strawman, then tell you the "right" answer.

 

The whole post is irrelevant. I support the whole thing. Do you? DO you support asset forfeiture? I don't.  Do you support warrant-less wiretapping? I don't. Do you support the view that your cellphone is equivalent to your "papers" as mentioned in the 4th Amendment? I do.  Do you see overreach in every aspect of our lives by the federal government in all matters large and small? I do. Do you support Obamacare? Then you don't support the 10th Amendment. Whatever happened to states rights?

 

Please, you lecturing me on integrity is a non-starter.

 

Do you actually read what you write before you post it?

"I suspect" is equivalent to "my opinion is...".  Instead of challenging me at a personal level, why not address the issue I raise?? 

 

I suspect (my opinion is) some folks are suggesting that freedom of the press should not be defended in some cases.  Am I right?  Our president seems to have this view.  When the leader of our country proposes this idea, I need not present any more evidence to support my view.    

 

Show some evidence that the 2A crowd will defend the 1st Amendment as staunchly as they defend the 2A.   If you can show it, I might change my opinion.

 

BTW, I'm in New Zealand right now and more than one person has asked me why our president isn't in the insane asylum.

Oh, silly me...........    I forgot you have me on "ignore".   But have a blast down there for sure....!   On my short list to visit.   NZ and Australia.....   Ever since I was a kid I wanted to go there.   I'd like to see Guam and Iwo Jima too on the way maybe.........   Just the history buff in me.........  I am thinking a great lamb meal is in order down there with a splash of great Ale and maybe a topper of a great local red wine.   ANZACS, all the way......!   Chris

Crazy Report for Nov 4 - 

 

From the Sac Bee this morning:

 

"Directly contradicting much of the Trump administration's position on climate change, 13 federal agencies unveiled an exhaustive scientific report Friday that says humans are the dominant cause of the global temperature rise that has occurred since the start of the 20th century, creating the warmest period in the history of civilization."

 

The administration has actually signed off on this report, but they continue to deny its findings and proceed to alter policy in ways that have no mitigating results.  This seems to be a bi-polar condition.  "Yes, it's happening, but no, it's really not happening, so I won't do anything about it."  Isn't "bi-polar" a treatable condition?  Apparently not in Washington.

There is clear evidence that Russian sources made every effort to alter and confuse Americans' perceptions during the last election.  Many of their troll farms have been identified and exposed.  this has resulted from the work of several US intelligence agencies.  In fact, those troll farms continue to fill social media with half-truths, lies, mis-directions, and and truly fake information to confuse and distort the perceptions of Americans.  It's happening today!

 

And yet, our president states that he believes Putin when he says, "I didn't do it".  And this above his own American intelligence agencies.  Does Trump have any idea how idiotic he looks.  Apparently, a large number of voters in last Tuesday's election have figured it out and are voting for anyone who would work to block and stop the shenanigans in the white house.

Crazy report for Dec 3 - 

 

Interesting that General Flynn has "turned state's evidence" in the Russian collusion case.  And there was no tweet storm from the White House.  Silence...   It's exactly the same reaction you would see when a child is caught literally with his hand in the cookie jar.  Another bit of evidence that the White House is headed by a juvenile. And Americans were crazy enough to elect him.

Bandy X. Lee, a forensic psychiatrist at Yale School of Medicine, has written an opinion piece over at NBC News describing how Trump’s pathological narcissism, which is amplified by the 24-hour cable news cycle, may be inducing a state of “shared psychosis” among the general population.

 

Lee goes on to argue that Americans’ collective mental health is likely to suffer further in the coming months because Trump’s mental state is continuing to deteriorate before our very eyes.

 

“As Trump feels increasingly walled in, his mental stability is likely to suffer and hence also public safety,” she says. “Trump has shown marked signs of impairment and psychological disability under ordinary circumstances, hardly able to cope with basic criticism or unflattering news. Presumably, additional stressors will make his condition worse.”

I think he's smokin his "stuff" way more than usual Aces....?   Off the deep end, reality is just a glimpse on the horizon for Tio Vinny....   Must be nice to retire at 50 with full pay from the government so you can criticize the government, at least the right wing, conservatives at every turn, who threaten your unearned, government, gravy train.......    Would love to be getting 6K a month from Uncle Sam in my early fifties so I can go about criticizing government and corporations, the ones who actually pay me every month to stay home....?  Weird...?   Chris
