Thanks! No wonder I'd never heard of that sandwich shop. I'm never over there. Although, now that my daughter is back at Tricks.....

I have not yet eaten at any of their locations so the jury is still out... but let me see here..... there is a subway within 200 feet of this location and a quizno's on the other side of blue ravine. do not get me wrong... but how may sandwitches can you eat in a given week-month-etc:?

I haven't tried their sandwiches yet, but I do worry about their Mr. Pickle mascot guy that waves on Folsom Blvd. Saw the light rail train coming and the crossing arms coming down, but wasn't sure he noticed until the train started hitting the horn. I was hoping he wouldn't take a step back or... ... well, I guess he would be turned into relish.

I, too, saw the dangerous dancing pickle. Relish would have inspired me to give their sandwiches a try!

The dancing pickle has got to be the best part about Mr. Pickles.

Just the entire name, really. Mr. Pickles!

Come on, now.....give the Mr. Pickle mascot a break....I give these mascots a lot of credit for their enthusiasm.....they probably only earn minimum wage for standing in a costume in 100 degree weather, while we're sitting in our air conditioned cars smiling at them heading to our nearest watering hole to spend our not-so-hard-earned above-minimum wage earnings!!!!

I am so happy Long Sandwich is gone and Mr. Pickle's is in... Long Sandwich smelled funny and sands weren't that good... Mr. Pickles is the best and closest DUTCH CRUNCH rolls and Sourdough to my hometown of SF..... Little more expensive but the price is worth it not to mention the hot fresh cookies that come with (the one on fulton does cookie not sure if this one will)...... Enjoy the best sandwich. They will be successful here they are going up in EDH also I heard.

I will pretty much honk every time I see a funny mascot or a sign guy. After all, their day is boring enough, and I usually get a wave or smile.

Does Folsom lead the league in the number of restaurants (fast-food, and otherwise) per capita in the nation?? Could a person go out for a meal once a day for an entire year and not have to go to any restaurant twice?? It sure seems like it... letseat.gif
I have opinions, you have opinions. We'll just call it even...is that OK ??

Have to try them

For a great Kosher deli, try:

Bob's Butcher Block Kosher Deli
6436 Fair Oaks Blvd
Carmichael, CA 95608 Map
(916) 482-6884

This is primarily a take-out deli, although they do have a few tables for dining in. They are not a full-service restaurant. However, the quality of the product is outstanding and is well worth the trip to shop.

How can you tell if a pickle is smiling? He looked happy to me, but I think it was just his happily waving pickle arms.
