Why not just burn it down...it's filthy inside and out and the employees are for the most part crazy..9 out of 10 moms wouldn't recommend having a bday party there because you don't get what you pay for and the employees fight in front of each other and the bowling alley food is gross.....This is Folsom...I suggest you make it family friendly if you want to attract families...However, if you want a dive to drink and gamble Folsom Lake Bowl is where it's at...

Nice post jack a**. And you called ME reactionary? Hello pot, meet kettle. In a previous thread you basically slammed everybody who lives in Folsom for indulging their kids in non-neccessities and here you are saying THIS IS FOLSOM, CLEAN UP YOUR ACT! Pick a side Pedro.
...Saying what people are thinking but are afraid to say....

How could anyone not take what you said personally, unlike many businesses out there we are NOT absentee owners, in fact we spend way too much time at our business making sure that things are running great and that progress never stops. If you could have seen where we've come over the years you would understand what I'm saying.

Our family has owned the FLB Sports Bar & Casino for the past 29 years. My brother Jeremy, my sister Monica, myself, and our father Wally are all owner operators and are actively apart of the daily operations throughout the business. We have been a staple to the community and have given back to the community. Your experience unfortunate as it is, is not the norm. After just reading your first email I called our bowling alley manager and party coordinator to try and figure out what could have possibly went wrong. Neither one of them could think of any instance in the last year that would explain your comments. After reading your most recent post you stated that the incident you experienced happened last year. As I stated before I really wish you would have tried to contact me or any of my management. Our names and contact information are very easy to find at the front desk as well as online at http://www.folsomlakebowl.com I always have my email address easily accessible so that I can hear the positive comments as well as the occasional comments of constructive criticism. I apologize if your experience didn't meet your expectations last year when you visited us. Since then we have done a lot of work to our business and our staff, and I hope that you take the time to come back to our facility and let us show you that we are so dedicated to making our customers happy they came here, that we will not only stay up all night reading and replying to emails we will make your next visit memorable!
Best Regards,
Dan Dreher

Don't take it personally....but the mom's including myself have had issues with the bday parties...the employees won't help set up the table or clean it....the pizza is cold, the bowling lanes aren't ready, the tables weren't even set up on 2 bday parties we attended, the old man that fixes the lanes curses at the other employees...etc..now, bowling is fun, but not the atmosphere we experienced....IT has nothing to do with an old building, but when things aren't kept tidy and the bday parties aren't organized well, in my opinion things need to change...I made a complaint last year when I had a party and so did my friends....Maybe your employees never told you or you are an absentee owner...I have no idea...Good luck and hopefully you will have a successful remodel with better customer service in place...

Best Regards,
Dan Dreher

Holy crap, you must've gotten beat with the a-hole stick

Dan is a really nice guy, BTW. Instead of being a jerk on the forum, why don't you go talk to him?

I haven't been there in awhile, but I do remember the mens room as being.....uhh.....not so nice. No, I don't expect it to be like a 5-star hotel in there, but it was pretty gross. I hope that receives some major attention. Just my .02 Go ahead and get mad.
I have opinions, you have opinions. We'll just call it even...is that OK ??

Glad to hear it is getting remodeled! I always see that it is packed but dont care to go there because of the filth. Maybe now we will take our family there. I have been there a couple times for a company function and we did receive great food an fun, but bad customer service from the shoe rental person (rude and seemed irritated with every request.) Good to know you care and I hope it all goes well. Dont let a few rude people ruin your day. Looks like you have positive feedback from most of the people on this forum!

bowling alleys are part of america folklore and folsom is lucky to have one. Its nice to see Dan being so responsive to his present and future customers.

old asbestoshills is usually kind of mellow on the forum but this one got her in an uproar. My guess is at the party she went in and lost a couple of hands of poker

I somewhat like FLB....however because of the way one of the bouncers ATTACKED my sister...she will no longer go there, thus I won't make a point to go there either.

My sister and a few friends were in the Bank of America parking lot about 2 years ago. They were getting money out of the ATM and having some drinks in the limo. One of the bouncers came over grabbed the bottle of alcohol, from her hand, while she was sitting in the limo and poured it out. My sister asked him why he did that?...He started to get loud with her and thats when she told him to leave her alone. She was in the B of A parking lot and to go monitor FLB's area.... At that point he grabbed my sisters arm and threw her to the ground...My sister weighs all of 120 and is the nicest girl ever!!! The way he reacted was totally uncalled for...She was not intoxicated but had a few drinks in her system...She was not a threat and he was upset because she was telling him to leave her alone...

It took three other bouncers/staff to get him off of her...He hurt her very badly not enough to seek medical attention but was bruised and sore. She was too afraid to go back and speak to the management...as the management should have seen what was occuring and came out and fixed the situation. That was not the case, instead she was assaulted by a 6'2 is 250+ huge mexican with rage issues!!!

Now she tells everyone of her experience. Your company has lost much of my business, my friends and family as well. Sorry but one bad employee can ruin your experience. Although last time I went I did not see him...it's still the fact that the idiot was ever an employee there to begin with. Plus many of your bouncers/bartenders are rude...(well except one girl) she was the only reason I agreed to stay with my party, who chose FLB, the last time I was there, ...she was great...made great drinks and was a pleasure to talk to!!
I understand dealing with drunks/trashy people gets annoying and can make you a bit jaded after a while but teach your staff how to read the patrons...Cause you might piss off the ones that actually spend money there!!!

Good luck with the renovation. I've only been there once and did not have a good impression (seen better days?), but am looking forward to a newly improved bowling alley. Will the new place feature a Big Lebowski night, with $1 White Russians, complimentary In N Out Burgers , and a raffle for a rug?

No she did not...I told her too but she was very scared...typical violence against women and how women react...I wish I were there when it occured...then again I don't because if I would have saw him do that to her I would have lost it...He would have had a few bumps and bruises himself!!!

TO Darth ,
First Darth, my name is not Pedro...And of course, you aren't Darthvader...maybe you are hiding behind the Darth mask because you seem to be prejudice against Mexicans..If you keep personally attacking me I will contact the admin again....Like I said before, you think that there are no people of color that can be true Americans... you wouldn't talk to my face like you are doing on these posts... It's not my problem that you try to bring illegal immigration into every conversation, even when it's not the topic...Discussing cultural differences is not the same as hate mongering, like you do....BTW, being family friendly has nothing to do with being over indulgent...you are too much!

DBurr- In addition, this forum is to give your experiences and opinions...Look at the other posts where people complained about the bowling alley...I don't see you disagreeing with the other members...The reason I told him what happened is because I thought he could take the advice and I know several people who had the same bad experiences with bday parties...I have never seen Dan at the bowling alley in all of the times I have been there which is maybe 3xs per year....Like I said, the bday party process needs attention....It's not easy trying to have a family friendly bowling alley and a casino and bar at the same time and have those two populations happy with their experience. Also, there is no competition for a bowling alley in this entire area to Placerville...So, I suggest copying the one in Roseville that is family friendly...Just my opinion..
Americans, don't just come in one color or race.
