Did not know that. Very surprising to me, but glad to know.

Didn't Reggie get busted at the Easy 8 Motel in Sac? And I think he also got busted for some side buisness he owned that had prisoners making license plates. Overall I think Reggie was a bad sidenote.

The point isn't what Reggie did, the point is that he was elected by the people of Folsom to City Council for many terms and that he was then elected by the other councilmembers as mayor and that he then served as mayor.

what he did with it is his loss (ours too), but its not the point. the point is that the citizens of Folsom voted an African American into our highest level of Folsom government.

You can't have one without the other. Reggie's legacy is being busted at the Motel. Anyway why does it matter what race our past Mayors have been? If we are supposed to see everyone the same then it just doesn't matter.
Right? I am right- right? Yes I am right - I'm sure I'm right... geeze, I just don't know what to say anymore

yeah, I know. you are right.

I only mentioned it because someone previously had posted that Folsom wasn't sophisticated enough to have elected a minority to office. I just pointed out that we already had.

I kinda forgot about the old reggie story. to me its not about minorities its about how come they elect somebody who judged by their actions had to be kind of stupid.

you hear tell about a lot of bad decisions made by politicians of yesteryear which seem to favor the developers. since all it takes to win seems to be lots and lots of campaign signs you could make anybody you want a elected official

that was pretty funny though.

what the heck prompted them to pick Folsom for their disaster mockumentary?

There may be two reasons for choosing your Dam. !. The Federal Government just signed a 1.6 BILLION dollar contract to bring the dam up to snuff (October 4, 2007) and 2. There was a fairly significant failure of the dam in 1995 when there was a spillway gate failure. 40% of the lake drained out!!

Otherwise, that's just The Onion. rolleyes.gif

Of course the joke is on The Onion. If the dam were to break today, there would only be enough water in the lake to get our ankles wet. pumpkin.gif

LOL - I thought that was pretty funny. Plus, we sort of made the Onion! Even though most details were grossly inaccurate.

Knowing you as I do .. you would think that its funny!
