How big do they need the sidewalks to be? They already had all the handicap spaces they needed. Maybe they are adding a Koi pond or something.

Yeah I keep driving by thinking it might finally be open and it never is. RE: the sidewalks thing. Maybe they've found out that's where AFL/CIO Mob-ish boss Jimmy Hoffa ended up, and are trying to locate his skeleton? (Who knew they'd bury poor old Jimmy in front of a Sizzler in Folsom, CA?)

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in.
And then the trouble started.

Don't you mean Lyons?

the number of current parking slots will not support the number of plates they have to fling in order to turn a profit. (in my estimation)

Huh? So every spot has to be filled all the time for them to make a profit? What if they are open longer hours than you expect, doesn't that change your magic formula?

No, you just need to make sure you can support the crunch-times:
Lunch, and Dinner
who cares about the 3pm crowd? or the 3am crowd for that matter. they are non-existent.

Well it would seem the real limiting factor is the space inside, not the parking lot. So if you add parking spaces and not seats inside people will have to wait which means they get pissed and leave (the exception being BJ's where people don't seem to care to wait for an hour for a cold meatball sandwhich).

The fire marshall determines how many can dine at one time. To me, it looks like the parking is not sufficient for the # of seats inside. Even more of a concern is the ability to enter and exit the property from certain directions - but there's not much CB can do about that.

Possibly training where customers are by invitation only.
My wife had invitation tickets to the new IHOP before they opened. You get to eat for free as the new staff learns their jobs. I don't know what the protocol is, but we still left a tip based on what the meal would have cost.
